Franklin House Backpackers offers comfortable, clean accommodation in a quiet environment. We're conveniently located just outside of Cape Town to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Yet we are close enough to be part of all the activities.
We are on a major public transport route and close to all the local shops, pubs, restaurants and cinemas. Cavendish Square, an up-market mall is just 1 km away. Here you'll find cinemas, restaurants and high fashion stores. We're also close to Kirstenbosch Gardens and Table Mountain (5 kms) as well as the other popular tourist attractions.
If you want to experience Cape Town free of all the tourist traps, then come and stay with us. Most of the popular tours will collect you from Franklin House, give you an experience to remember then drop you off in the afternoon, so there's no need to worry about transport.
We have single and double rooms sharing a communal bathroom as well as double rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Some rooms have access to a sun deck offering magnificent views of Table Mountain. There is also a communal kitchen, dining room and lounge. We have limited secure parking.
