Lali's Guest House and Tea Garden is a beautiful Victorian house, built in the early 1940's, with original oregan pine floors and real grandma's charm

We are situated in town 200m from Spar and near the well known Harrismith Golf Club, squash and tennis courts. The Platberg Game Reserve and Botanical Gardens, less than 5 km away, offers beautiful picnic spots, as well as amazing hiking and mountain bike trails. Sterkfontein dam, a haven for water enthusiasts, are close by; enroute to the Drakensberg mountain Resorts, Golden Gate and Clarence. Trout fishing and 4wheel bike trips can be arranged.

Accommodation Information

Your hosts, mother and daughter team Ria and Riane' van Dyk, will welcome you to their 6 bedroom guest house. All rooms are elegantly furnished with en-suite bathrooms, tea, coffee, rusks, hairdryers, electric blankets, etc.
TV-channels include: M-Net, SABC 1 & 2, E-Tv, Sport and Movie channels. Three of the rooms open onto our delightful garden, where guests can enjoy something mouth-watering from our tea garden.

A full English breakfast are served, as well as home cooked dinners on prior request (before noon).

Location Information

Situated at the foot of Platberg in the peaceful town of Harrismith, we offer a safe and luxurious stop between Johannesburg and Durban. The town hall, with its stoned tree, is a graceful sandstone and brick building built in 1907.
