About Hostel Paradiso

Hostel welcomes travelers of any age from all over the world. Total area of approximately 280m2 guarantees an above avarage accomodation area per person.

You can spend your leisure time playing: Monopoly, Risk, Ludo, Roulette and different types of card games: Poker, Tarok, Sechsundsechzig (Schnapsen), Solitaire…

There are various book collections available of different genres, TV, movies and cartoons on DVDs, FREE wireless internet access or FREE internet network.

At the reception desk in our hostel you can get all the necessary information about Tolmin, its history and activities which can be spent in the valley of the emerald river Soča.

The price includes breakfast which is served in our bar or external terraces. The bar is open daily from 7.00 am to 23.00 pm, Fridays and Saturdays until 24.00.

In addition to good atmosphere in the bar, pleasant service and good music, we recommend a cup of our coffee Illy and maybe a slice of our cakes and pies, which we have always fresh.

Accommodation Information

HOSTEL PARADISO is located on the first floor of Paradiso bar, in the center of Tolmin. It is suitable for travelers, passers-by, younger and older single travelers, but also families. Room options include four combined rooms. It offers a total of 26 beds.

-Room 1 of approximately 18m2 has two queen-sized double beds and it is suitable for a family or two couples.
-Room 2 and Room 3 of approximately 8.5m2 each, are equipped with one queen-sized double bed.
-Room 4 is the largest, equipped with 7 bunk beds and two queen-sized double beds.

Towels, bed sheets and linen are provided. All rooms have shared bathrooms with 24hr hot showers.

All the rooms are very simple and attractive, with the interior furniture – bunk beds, tables, beds – handcrafted of solid wood. Everything in the room and Hostel itself is made of spruce, oak and mahogany wood. There is a closet for every guest to use, an armchair or a settee, a table...

Because of its location, it is very close to all the main buildings. Gas station, grocery store, restaurant-pizzeria, farmacy, health care center, bus station, bank, post office, museum and library are just a step away.

The surrounding nature offers many possibilities to do sports – in summer you can swim in the beautiful emerald Soča river or enjoy the rafting, you can try canyoning, go cycling, free climbing, experience the adrenalin of a tandem paragliding flight or hike to one of the nearby hills or pastures, where you can taste delicious homemade cheese.

If you are a true adventurer and you like to discover hidden places, natural and cultural attractions, we recommend you visit them. In the vicinity of Tolmin you can visit Tolminka basins and Dante's cave, or Kozlov rob with the ruins of a medieval castle at the top, or hike up some of the surrounding hills, which have outdoor museums, as a reminder of the I. WW. One of the most beautiful monuments is definitely a Memorial Church of the Holly Spirit at Javorca.

Tolmin is also becoming known for it's festivals. This piece of paradise is home to Metalcamp, Reggae Riversplash, Sajeta, Soč'n fest and many other festivals. Something for everyone....
