Liked: Warm, friendly welcome at this small and homely hostel. June is an engaging, sociable host. Clean, modern facilities, including excellent free WiFi. Central location near bus and rail terminals.

Liked: The hostel is in excellent location and Los of things to do locally,The hostelier was excellent and very helpful,Wish i could have spent longer and spent more time in the town to take more time,thoroughy enjoyed my stay,highly recommened!

Liked: The property was good, having all basic facilities that were required on our visit.

Disliked: The owner June does go a bit ott when telling you to watch out for the police telling us to not even look at them if you can help it. Also the internet is very slow indeed.

Liked: Very helpful host. Gave us a good guide to Maribor.

Disliked: It wasn't too clean. Only one bathroom. The host charged an extra 'tourist tax', which was an unpleasant surprise to us.

Liked: June (the owner) was incredibly helpful and friendly. On arrival she showed us all the best places to go, eat and drink in Maribor (including a bar which sold buy-one-get-one free cocktails - we managed to get 6 for 10 euros!!). The location was very good, as its close to the station and the city centre, and it is quite a sociable hostel too

Disliked: Darker curtains! Apart from that nothing, it was great

Liked: It was easy to find, so close to the city center and right by Maribor nature path. The landlady was very helpful and kind and she gave us great advice and tips on what we could do while in Maribor. The property is clean and well kept, with big rooms, comfortable beds and a big kitchen.

Disliked: Even though the apartment in itself was lovely, the entrance to the building, the stairs to be more precise, where quite dodgy. The housing company could do better by covering the stairs with wood or something so that the quests would not be put off by the unfinished entrance. On the other hand, this was nothing that took away from our pleasant stay in general.

Liked: June was a great host, and gave lots of good recommendations of things to do and places to visit. The hostel is in an excellent location and has a really nice kitchen and common room.

Liked: Great location easy from train, close to town & also countryside, very clean and comfortable place with good beds which are all made for you! Kitchen had everything which made cooking easy. June the owner was great to meet, very helpful and knows the area well! Would defiantly recommend to stay here.

Liked: This is a great little hostel, very unique. Here you should expect personal service and not a front counter where the worker forgets your name after you pay him/her. June sat down and spoke with me for quite a while about the city of Maribor. She gave me detailed instructions about where I should go for what, and what 'tourist traps' I should avoid to help me save money. In the hostel there is a computer for shared use, a TV, daybed and couch in a 'Chill room.' It is really nice to be able to sit on a nice couch and go on the computer (with the free and fast Wifi provided). I saw many things in Maribor I didn't even know existed because of June; I don't think my stay would have been as good in this city had it not been for staying at the Lollipop Hostel.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: This hostel was amazing. It felt more like home than a hostel - it even came with free tea and coffee (and of course free wifi). The location was perfect, as was June the owner; I couldn't have felt more accommodated for.

Liked: Nice cozy hostel with very friendly owner. Clean and in a great location in Maribor...close to the train station and to the main part of the city. A little quiet (both the town and the hostel) in the off season but still a lovely place to stay for a day or two!

Liked: Beautiful place! So close to the train station. Great neighborhood. Close to everything. June was great! Felt like I was at a friend's house. Rooms were good and beds comfortable. Free wifi and internet and hot shower. Stay here!
