Liked: Great character. Staff amazingly friendly.Without us asking - lent us a brolly when we arrived as it was raining..they cant do enough! Great restaurant downstairs too.Will be coming back!

Liked: The lady who runs the place was very smily and friendly when we arrived; for some reason she was a bit off when we were leaving and didn't appear interested in engaging in small talk as we waited for our taxi. The room we stayed in was very 1970s in terms of decor but comfortable and functional and the TV channels on offer were among the best for English only speakers. Quite decent facilities in the kitchen area althought it's a bit small. The walk into the old town is a bit hairy after dark and was lined with quite a lot of inebriated teenagers and some broken bottles. The Old Town area is beautiful and so are the female inhabitants - the locals are fluent in English to almost Shakesperian standards; unfortunately they are also fairly arrogant and generally treat most foreigners with an undeniable air of superior indifference.

Liked: The receptionist was very nice and helpful! We got coffee offered every morning, except milk was missing (!)All in all it was a wonderful old location in the centre of Ljubljana.

Liked: 5 mins from river area with loads of bars and restaurants. Big clean room, we got double en-suite for 58 euro per room per nite, very comfortable, good value and within easy walking distance of everyhing. Plus ljubljana is great!!

Liked: The hostel is ideally located in an area with plenty of cafes and restaurants and within waking distance to many bars/nightlife. The rooms are small but clean and have everything you need.The ensuite bathroom was clean and towels changed daily. The only minor annoyance was staff using a leaf blower in the morning but appart from that I would have no hesistation staying here again.

Liked: Great place to stay. Friendly, helpful staff, free internet, clean and comfortable. Even had cable TV with English movie channels! Only down side was the restaurant down stairs....nice place to eat but the warm nights meant the diners ate out until quite late, chatting and laughing as diners do...but right under your bedroom window. Might be a problem if you are there on the weekend or a light sleeper. It was all quiet by about 11:30. Otherwise, a lovely little place to stay...very central to all the Ljubljana has to offer.

Liked: It was cheap as well as all I would ever ask for in a hostel--clean, with helpful and friendly staff, internet access and kitchen facility. Also within easy walking distance of everything in the centre. Would definitely recommend to others!

Liked: Pension Pod Lipo was situated in a great spot. The accommodation was very clean indeed and the staff were so helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. They have a couple of PC's in a communal area for guests to use & also a kitchen area with the most amazing selection of teas on offer for guests on a complimentary basis. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

Liked: Oustanding value for the price in an absolutely central location, especially considering the ridiculous cost of all hotels in the city. The rooms have good quality hotel standard spacious showers and FREE tea and coffee!

Liked: Everything, this is by far the nicest place we have stayed on our trip so far. We are sad to leave after 5 nights as it felt completely like home. We could make cups of tea, meet people, and use free internet, and the rooms are amazing. Thanks so much!!
