Liked: Super friendly staff, good location close to the train station and has great character since it used to be a jail and then became an art museum. We stayed in a 3 bedroom private room, and it was a good value hostel which I would recommend.

Disliked: The room was small compared to some of the other three bedroom private rooms we stayed in during our travels, but I guess that's to be expected from an old jail cell...

Liked: staff where nice,10 min walk to the old town,bar downstairs,comfy bed,no noise,hot water

Disliked: expensive!rooms are very small,but i guess it used to be a prison so fair enough.arriving at bus/trains stations and finding the signs is not as easy as it sounds,facing the castle on the hill,southish from the stations you just walk left along the main rd and turn on the 4th right(kotnikova ulica) then walk into the carpark of the block of buildings after the colorfully decorated street art wall and ther it is

Liked: Awesome rooms! Nice and cheap breakfast. Very cool hostel.

Disliked: There was a private function held in the bar/common area on our arrival- so getting a drink was a bit awkward. The bar was expensive and there was overall more locals than tourists in the hostel whether it was for breakfast or drinks.

Liked: It`s one of the best hostels I have ever been. It is situated in the centre of Metelkova. The staff is great, atmosphere, cleanlinesss.... Everything..I really recommend it ;-)

Liked: Hostel Celica is fantastic! The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is very close to the train station so its really easy to get to Lake Bled and Postonja.

Disliked: Nothing, its great!

Liked: Superb place to stay in Lublijana. Staff were super friendly and the room was very reasonably priced and clean. Very quirky building with lots of character and well done up.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Great location and facilities.

Disliked: I stayed in the 12 bed dorm for €14, it was very squashy and I have had a better bed and equally or better hostel services for cheaper. Staff were great though :)

Liked: Very unique place with helpful staff and friendly atmosphere. Location was in the city centre and a short walk from places of note.

Disliked: Not many down sides although if i'm to be picky we did find a sock under the bed and the room smelt if the windows where shut too long.

Liked: Really funky joint! cheap food and beer in the hostel itself, and just a short walk to the centre of Ljubljana. Area outside seems sleepy, but comes to life with an artsy crowd after sunset. Staff is friendly and helpful too.

Disliked: Bit hard to find, make sure to check up on google maps where it is, since the ˝how to get there˝ section only says follow the blue signs from the train station, Unfortunately there aren't enough of them. Directions would be nice.

Liked: Loved staying here. Its a fantastic city and coming back to my cell was the cherry on the top of the cake! Particularly helpful and pretty receptionists! :)

Disliked: I can imagine that the location may be a little scary for some people as there is a lot of graffiti and its a party area but nothing threatening about the people.

Liked: I've been here 4 years ago and I love it's artistic appeal, the style, the location.

Disliked: However, after 4 years it's looks a bit run down, dirty walls and broken ceramics in the toilet and not so clean.

Liked: Very chilling atmosphere and very helpful staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I booked a five person dorm and there were only two others in the room. On arrival they gave me lots of information and coupons for drinks at their bar. There was also all you can eat pad Thai for a mere 4.50 euro. Excellent experience all around.

Disliked: No shower curtain in the bathroom so when I got out it was like a lake on the floor, but I'm not a maid so I'm not sure if I should be complaining about this....

Liked: I came to this hostel back in 2003 when it had just opened and couldnt wait to come back. Its still a fantastic place for backpackers to meet and socialise It is also fantastically close to the train station. Staff are extremely welcoming and helpful

Disliked: The dorm is cramped with beds with little room to move or keep rucksacks The hostel is not the cheapest in the area and is focused on seeing how much more money it can get from backpackers. We were traveling on a shoe string and couldnt afford the rates it charged for breakfast or drinks at the bar

Liked: It was a unique experience to stay in a jail cell :) We enjoyed how the cell door was still there...yet your bed was still comfy! The giant pink bathroom was awesome!

Disliked: The wifi only worked on the ground floor.

Liked: A very unique experience to stay in a hostel with such history. Properly renovated to suit travelers' need.

Disliked: The shared dorm can be pretty crampy.

Liked: Great staff and good vibe. It was a great place to meet people. Nice lounge and restaurants area. Good beds and linen and great location from train station and into town.

Disliked: No room for your bags they ended up in the middle of the room where you tripped over them. We were always hitting our heads on the roof and with 12 people the rooms was really hot at night. Wi-Fi only on ground floor and no door between bathroom and toilet.

Liked: Everything in general was good, including breakfast, the facilities. Realy good atmosphere!

Disliked: Disliked the noise from outside. Should have more accoustic insulation, specially on the last floor.
