Hotel Medno is an excellent starting point for easier and more demanding hiking trips. There are organized cross-country skiing tracks in winter in the surroundings.

The hotel restaurant offers culinary delights every day of the year. You can try Slovenian and Mediterranean cuisine. You can start the day with a rich self-service breakfast served from 6.30 a.m. until 10 a.m., and then continue with your selection of lunch from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. You can complete your evening with a light dinner, served until 10 p.m.

We offer a multipurpose congress hall in the basement of the hotel for rent, with capacity of 80 seats.

Current over-night capacity of Hotel Medno is 93 beds. We offer different types and categories of accommodation. In 2007 we built new business suites, furnished according to 4 stars standards in the hotel.

Single and double business rooms have the following amenities: mini bar, Internet, air conditioning, safety deposit box, cable TV, hairdryer and direct phone line.
Business suites have additional bedroom, sofa bed, balcony with the view of the Alps and plasma TV screen.

Location Information

Hotel Medno is located in natural green surroundings sheltered by a forest and near the river Sava at Medno, which is considered as the suburbs of Ljubljana. It is approximately 9km towards north from the centre of Slovenia's capital.

Directly running by Hotel Medno is the regional road that leads to Kranj and from there on to Austria and Italy. It is only 15kms from the international airport Joze Pucnik. Despite the immediate vicinity of urban centers, Hotel Medno offers a splendid view over the rolling hills and high mountain crests of the Julian Alps and Karavanken Mountains.
