Liked: It was cheaper than other hostels but this did not mean that it was worse. I really liked that hostel and I would recommend it to the rest other travellers. Maybe it was a little bit further from city center but it took only 20 minutes walking to get it and it was also very very safe and easy to park the car there.

Liked: hostel was clean. staff was very helpful. the pick up service was prompt. quiet. we enjoyed our stay at simbol hostel. grocery store right across the street was great. small renos need to be completed and no mirror in bathroom. we would recommend this hostel to others.

Liked: Matthieu, the bloke in charge, is an absolute marvel. He really helped me and my mate out of a massive jam. The hostel may be out of town, but it's relaxed, people are friendly, and the rooms are hotel-clean and modern.

Liked: Very modern, clean well set out. Air con, good kitchens, fun outside area with BBQ and hamock, Cheap bike hire, large supermarket and pizzaria near by, all for a very Cheap hostel price! Amazing stay.

Liked: We (4 guys aged 25 from Hungary) booked a 4-bed ensuite room to Simbol hostel originally. When we arrived late in the evening we were told by the person in charge that they were overbooked. He managed to put us in another hostel which was right in the very-very center of Ljubljana (H2Ostel). It was more expensive and was not en-suite, but we didnt have to pay more than we were supposed to pay for Simbol Hostel at all. We even stayed an extra night at the changed accommodation. On our last night we moved to the original place, to Simbol. The building is new, there are still wires hanging out from the walls, but the place is clean, the room we were in was spacious and we even had a small kitchen (with fridge to keep the booze cold) and a fan. I think they will install air conditioning as well, at least there was an empty whole for it in the room. Wifi was available, so was a free computer to use and washing machines (not sure if it was for free...). There was also place for free parking in front of the hostel. The best part was the free bike we took from the hostel to the city center, which was about 10-12 minutes. So, I can reccommend Simbol to those who are willing to take a walk to the center and back. The guy at the hostel was very nice with us and helped us out. At the end, we didnt mind the overbooked rooms as well. Thx.

Liked: We ended up staying at the Simbol Castle not our original hostel, because of "internal circumstances", but the Simbol Castle was very nice and close to downtown. The rooms were very clean and cute. Unfortunately there is only one bathroom, but only about 5 rooms in the hostel.

Liked: Friendly manager, but he was out a lot of the time which meant reception was closed a lot and impossible to speak to him. Also, microwave was broken and there was no kettle. Quite a good hostel, but a bit of a walk and Ljubljana isn't that great. Go to Bled instead.

Liked: The Hostel recomended Chris an Australian guy who runs small group tours to Lake Bled. Well worth taking. One of the better tours i've taken in my travels as it is much more relaxed, you can set your own itinery. Its also extremely good value. Can't say more then that, give it a go and you wont be dissappointed Lake Bled is stunning.

Liked: Cleanliness and even though the man that runs the hostel seemed a bit over stressed he was pretty helpful! Plus the possibility to rent bikes!
