Liked: This lovely old villa had been turned into a very modern and absolutely practical hostel. We loved the beds and the lockable drawers/lockers underneath the beds.

Disliked: They might want to mention how close the hostel was to the Ljubljana Tivoli train station. That would have saved us time and energy since we came from that direction.

Liked: The location was excellent - walking distance to everything but not located in a noisy chaotic area. Also it was nice not having to pay for the internet and having computers available to use for free!

Liked: very clean and well maintained hostel. good computer access and wi/fi worked all over, even on the balcony. it was a staff members birthday and they invited all the guests down for food and drinks which was alot of fun.

Disliked: a bit difficult to find from the directions.

Liked: The dorm rooms are fantastic! Each bunk is decked out with a HUGE locker, shelving and drawers and they even provide you with a towel. The bathrooms are clean and each cubicle for toilet or shower is separate so no waiting to use the toilet in the morning. Breakfast is also provided free.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The beds were very comfortable and roomy. I liked the fact that it was just far enough away from the centre but near enough the you could walk to and fro with ease.

Disliked: Sharing with men who leave their underwear all over the room and sleep in their clothes. Really think that they should have at least one room for just female travellers, I was only female in room of 4. Breakfast even though free is not very appetising.

Liked: Good location, the use of the kitchen facilities, comfortable beds, spacious rooms.

Disliked: Dirty carpets, breakfast is poor, difficult to find with the directions given on the hostel's website.

Liked: Hostel was great. Big spacious room, clean bed, and what is even more important very clean bathroom. The breakfast is great, there are few different meals and you can eat it as much as you want. Hostel is close to city center.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Excellent location (unless you want to live in the centre, 5 minutes from it so quiet. The other guests make the hostel come alive. Good building character. Hot shower when you need it. Fairly quiet inside. Fairly clean. Good private rooms. Free internet, all the time!!! Good TV. Simple free breakfast. Clean linen. Nice balcony.

Disliked: The staff are NEVER there (save 3-4 hours in the morning), there is no consistency of staffing, different person every day. Some are really rude. Others nice. But no one seems to know what is going on. Even when they say they will be there they are not. For experienced travelers this may be a good thing. But if you are slightly unsure - it would create a feeling of hostility and lack of safety. The hostel is very unsafe if you are staying in a dorm. The staff post the door code outside - so anyone could get in and there is no keys for the dorms. For that reason perhaps it is time that they change the 1457 door code - and don't post it everywhere - hopefully this will prompt them to change the policy. There is no staff in the nighttime and no one ever answers the phone that you can call (+ there is no phone in the hostel!). No one knows who is supposed to stay or who is not. Ljubljana is extremely safe - but even then some people can take advantage! Twin room is really a double bed room. As no staff - no one points out facilities - you must find out for yourself. There is a fridge - but they do not use it for the milk - so don't drink the milk it may have gone bad. No toaster so just bread for breakfast. Tourist tax is not included in what you are quoted by hostelbookers - €1 per night. In 2007/2008 won awards - but now they need to improve. (Perhaps it is because it is low season - so they are not so bothered at the moment)!

Liked: Great location.

Disliked: Nobody ever at reception. The wifi didn't work for anyone while I was there (a couple people were able to get it on their smartphones, but that's it). Wish they had better pillows.

Liked: Very close to city center (the old town), around 15 mins walk to bus & train station. Pay a bit extra for the dorm could avoid pay for subway or local bus or tram fee, i think is very good deal! Very clean room n comfy bed, and with huge space in the room. Toilet and kitchen is very clean. Dining and hang out place very big and comfy. Very secure area because many foreign embassy around there. And close to big mall with nice market in there. Once again, thanks for sending back my stuffs to my home. I coundnt get my cloths on time, but they send it back to my home without any request, very good service!!!

Liked: The rooms are big and airy and clean with plenty of space bertween bunks. Staff very friendly and healpfull, Clean and In a very nice area about 7 mins walk from the Old Town. Everything was fine for me. I would definitely stay again if I came to Ljubljana. I think it's great value.

Disliked: Nit picking here but the shower curtain in the Turquoise bathroom was so long that it blocked the plug hole and it was easy not to notice until you flooded the bathroom. The frame needs more support as well or it's just going to fall down soon. That's it. Happy travelling. KK

Liked: The staff were wonderful, the other travellers great, hostel clean, internet access and easy to find by directions. Cheap also

Disliked: Only one gripe the lighting was attrocious only my bedside lamp which I must admit is a bonus was great the rest of the hostels lighting was almost too dull for words it discouraged conversation and writing and reading which backpackers love

Liked: The hostel felt very welcoming and nice, the beds were comfy and the walls were thick so even if other people were partying you could still get to sleep. The location was really close to the city centre. The internet was good to have, it was nice to be able to make a cup of tea and to have breakfast provided. They left me detailed instructions of where to go when I arrived as it was after check-in hours, including leaving me a note on my bed. I thought this was really nice.

Disliked: I didn't like that they have joined the top two bunk beds into a sort-of double but put me there next to a guy I did not know. I thought this was kinda crazy, but it was 2am when I arrived and I was lucky the guy was nice and everyone else thought it was a bit weird too. They kindly moved me the next day, but they really should only put people who are travelling together on the double bunk bed! Cleaning happened late in the day, the bathroom wasn't huge for the number of people - but Ljubljana is a relaxed kind of place so it didn't really matter too much.
