Ethno Hostel, situated in a small village in Karst.

Our hostel is arranged in an old typical Kras house and it has 35 beds, 10-12 mattresses and a camping places. We provide bed and breakfast; there is a kitchen and a laundry room for guests to use.
There is the possibility to use the internet in the hostel – wi-fi zone. You can enjoy an amazing view from our garden, there is also a play Jard for children and in the summer evening you can be a chef of the barbeque, and we will teach you have to make “our” Cevapcici and other typical grilled meat.
There is also a tourist info point and the possibility of renting a bike for free.

The beautiful and clean nature will surrounding you on every step. Do not forget, from Pliskovica you have less then 15 minutes to the Italian sea side and the historical city Trieste.

Accommodation Information

Living in a 400 years old house, which was renovated by a strict rules of conservations the cultural heritage, will leave you a unique experience of how the people lived in the past. There are different rooms, from double room to dormitory with 14 beds and a camping place.

Youth hostel Pliskovica is located in the heart of Kras region, in a typical Kras village.
The easiest way to reach us is by car, but there is also a public transport like bus, or you can come by train to the nearest village Dutovlje, were by previous arrange we will pick you up (free of charge).

Pliskovica can be a great start point for making a day trips to Julian Alps, inland Slovenia with the capital Ljubljana, also to the Venice there are only 150km.
Karst region is one of the most appreciable cycling destinations in Slovenia.
It is also a land of famous Kraški Pršut (Prosciutto) and Teran vine, so you can enjoy a Kras wine road, by testing on unique vine in a typical cellar.
