Liked: Good points: Really nice old house, very atmospheric, great views of the lake, huge rooms, lovely old wooden furniture, friendly guy running the place, good value, close to the main town but on a quiet street.Bad points: This is very much a room in a house - there are no communal areas, no reception area etc so would be the wrong choice for someone wanting a hostel atmosphere. Also "double" rooms are all twin beds so not ideal for a romantic getaway, and there only seemed to be one shower for about 15 rooms which could pose issues!

Liked: Great cosy little place. Very good location and very friendly people. Not somewhere you go to party, rather with a group of people you like to stay with. Definitely recommend, great value.

Liked: my boyfriend and i stayed 2 nights here. Janus (?), the owner, was a lovely man. he gave us glasses of wine and juice as a welcome to the vila. Place has ALOT of character. We loved the rugs and comfy grandma style bedding. Really comfy. We were the only guests staying here which was good and bad. Good because we had a whole house to ourselves and a little bad just in terms of security. But Janus checked up on the house every now and then.Location wise its a bit of a walk round the lake and up a hill if your coming from the train station, but a lovely walk at that! Just be prepared for about a 40 minute walk, though it looked to be one of the best areas to stay around the lake. If you can we suggest renting the 1 euro an hour bike around the lake. You can rent these down the hill in the main shopping center area.Truly is a BEAUTIFUL place to be. We loved it here.

Liked: It was a very charming property that had a lot of character. Really neat that it's so old and cute, yet so close to the center of Bled! Also, really nice owners.

Liked: The place is a big and oldish 3-floor detached house with rooms on two of the upper floors. The location is great - just a couple of minutes walk to the south cluster of hotels/restaurants in Bled. The shared bathroom was in good condition and the only slight downside was that the hot water took a considerable time to get through the pipes and also the beds were slightly too soft (a very subjective opinion of course). At the time we stayed we were the only ones in the big house and that felt quite awkward, but I imagine that it's not an issue during peak season. Would recommend the place.

Liked: This villa is incredible, it's charming and untouched by time, with wonderful old furnishings. The location is perfect, a few minutes walk above the lake. The owner was really kind.

Liked: Returned from my second stay at Villa Gorenka and really enjoyed it. The place has quite a bit of character and its location is perfect, situated around 1 minutes walk from the lake and shopping centre and even less of a walk from pub Bled! Breakfast on offer which is good. No curfews and the place is very clean.Really recommend Villa Gorenka, a nice family run place situated in a nice area just up from th lake. Ideal place.

Liked: Grerat location -only a short walk down the hill to the magnificant lake. The Vila has plenty of character and large rooms. Staff were friendly and beds were comfortable. I would have no hesitation coming back to Vila Gorenka.

Liked: this hostel is in a great location in Bled. Would highly recommend it for that reason. Rooms are basic and reasonably comfortable.
