Liked: It was really homely and the owners were great, despite only speaking broken English. They give lifts to and from the lake and the train station, can help book activities and cook dinner in the evening (homemade soup, salad and a choice of main course) for only 5-6 Euros.

Liked: My friend and i (both female) found the atmosphere very friendly and homely. We were well looked after and the free shuttle to (and endless advice about) all the local activities and sites was immensly helpful. The family who run the hostel treated all the backpackers as family.

Liked: Friendly and very communal atmosphere with meals and drinks served at hostel restaurant/bar. However, hostel is not in walking distance of Lake Bled so a free lift back to hostel is at 7pm.

Liked: This hostel was located in a really beautiful surrounding with caring helpful staff. Their homecooked meals was a great break from restaurants and they were very accomodating with the free transport. It was fantastic to have 'moma' wash and dry your cloths - just like home - and they were a huge help organizing our adventure trips.

Liked: The man who operated the hostel (Damien or something similar) was very friendly and helpful, and gave us a lot of his time and made us feel welcome. The trips that the hostel organised (e.g. rafting) were good, and it was helpful that it was organised by the hostel itself. Overall good service and friendly people.

Liked: This hostel was out of Bled, which was wonderful for getting away from the tourist track, but I had a car which made this easy. The hosts were wonderful and helpful and so friendly. We ate dinner with Mama and Papa one night and the food was excellent!

Liked: Damien, the owner is lovely and will help organise any activites you want to do whilst you are staying there. They also provide a good breakfast which is included, pick up from the station and he'll drive you back into town if you need is too. They provide evening meals for very cheap, and they are also tasty! This is a good hostel even if the location isn't great.
