Liked: The hostel is biriliant. Damien (Papa) and Mama are really helpful and hostpitible. The home cooked Slovenian meals are brilliant and 6 Euro for three courses they are dirt cheap as well. The hostel is a little far from Bled but Damien drives you whenever you want so it isnt a problem. I would say that for parties over about 5 people this may get akward. You also get a free breakfast. Proper Slovenian hospitality.

Liked: This place is quiet and the 3 course home-cooked evening meals are delicious and a bargain (6 Euro)! Staff very helpful and the rooms very clean. Although the hostel is located a little outside Bled it is never a problem as the hostel staff will drive you to the centre of town each day and pick you up (transfers from the train station to the hostel are also a bonus.

Liked: The whole experience is wonderful, the location is beautiful and the fact that it's far away is fine as Damien drives you where you need to go.. the food is home cooked and amazing-lovely hosts and great way to experience real Slovenia! Didn't want to leave!!

Liked: If you are missing home or your family then this is the hostel for you. Damien and Mama are fantastic! They are always offering advice or if they can do anything for, they are just two really fantastic people. Damien will help you plan your day by offering suggestions or ring to find out what adventure activities are avaliable for the following days.Although it is 10-15 mins out of Bled it did not make a difference as Damien drives you in and out and will pick you up at anytime of day if you call him. The home cooked meals are incredible! We would often have a light lunch to fit in the 3 course dinner. If you are going to Bled I would definately recommend that you stay here!

Liked: the elderly owners are lovely. Nothing quite like waking in sunshine, stretching out window of cosy room to look upon mountains and hearing them laugh together over the crackle of frying eggs. Its out of town but transport in and out is no problem and included in price, as is the tasty breakfast.

Liked: The people who ran the hostel couldn't do enough for you and they were so friendly all the time. I liked the character of the hostel as well as it was like a little country house which created a very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere

Liked: This was the homliest hostel I have ever stayed in. The food was phenominal and I felt like I was in my grandparents kitchen rather than a hostel.

Liked: good atmosphere and nice people but only recommend if people dont mind staying well out of bled. Its a def car trip away and can feel quite isolating. Lovely place and aurroundings tho. Helpful people, lovely breakfast included and offer of cheap nice dinners.

Liked: main selling point is lovely family who make a big effort and feed you very well both at brekkie and dinner. they will also shuttle you to and from bled in the morning evening.

Liked: Staff are the nicest we had met while backpacking..We arrived early to the hostel and even though our room wasn't ready they made us feel at home and were really fast to accommodate us. The hostel was located a bit outside Bled but Damien, the owner, offered a free shuttle to and from. Even when we were leaving for the train station, he started the free(and really good) breakfast early and dropped us to the station. Lovely three course dinners for about €6. Lovely hotel, amazing value for money!

Liked: The atmosphere was fun, relaxed and inspired. Mama and co make wonderful food and everyone helps with travel arrangements. It's a hub of connections for adventure and onward travel.

Liked: Incredibly friendly staff, beautiful location, and the hostel provided many services (canyoning, mountain bike hire), in addition to free shuttles to Lake Bled. They will also pick you up from the train station when you arrive, and drive you back there when you leave.Breakfast was delicious, and dinner can be provided too. There are a few good restaurants near the hostel, including a delicious pizzeria where you can dine for 5 Euros! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HOSTEL.
