Liked: Cyprian was an excellent host, really friendly and knowledgeable. The hostel is in a beautiful location. It is easy to get around the area as it is on the local bus route, its close to the caves, and the trails up in the high Tatras. Krakow is also very easy to get to. Excellent value and thoroughly recommended''

Liked: The owners were incredibly friendly. Really good with giving advice on what to do in the area, the mum often gave us local food to try. It was really easy to get to and the room was beautiful. Really spacious, clean, airy, with a wonderful view. Kitchen was wonderful.

Liked: Family is really welcoming: the front door opened as soon as we got off the bus. We really had a lovely stay there: great to relax. But also a lot of good hiking tracks very near and in winter skiing is also a possibility.

Liked: We had the warmest welcome of all the places we have stayed in Europe. Lovely surroundings and three generations of the family made us feel at home. Plenty of helpful advice on things to do and places to see. Good wi-fi access. Self-catering facilities and good value for money.

Liked: This was more like a real home complete with a nice nana that fed us homemade cakes and shots of something potent! The son had excellent english and gave us some travel tips about the local area.

Liked: Both Cyprian and his mum were so welcoming and helpful, one night none of the local restaurants were open so Cyprian's mum cooked us dinner!The hostel is perfectly located for hiking in summer and skiing in winter.

Liked: Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Facilities were basic, but you get what you paid for. It was a little bit out of the way, but frequent buses it was not a problem. Hospitality was outstanding - The first hour or so was spent having vodka shots with our hosts, and the next night a Slovak cake was baked for us. Very helpful in helping out where to go, what to see also.

Liked: The staffs are very nice! Clean an tidy. It's a very lovely place and has the great value of the price. The pension is located in a quiet place but the pension owner gave us a very warm hosting. I really recommend it!

Liked: Room was comfortable, the owner was very friendly and gave us a lot of helpful information about the area, including possible walks to do in the mountains. Located just across the road from the bus stop and makes a great base to explore the Tatras. There's a big, well-equipped kitchen as well as a nice clean bathroom and separate toilet.

Liked: Very cute family run hostel. We visited during off season so was quite quiet with limited amount to do. However the location is really pretty and the staff were lovely and eager to help, despite the fact that only very limited english is spoken. Knowledge of german is very useful here!

Liked: First of all, the innkeepers, Mr and Mrs. Gura. They were so kind.Seconldy, affordable price. I can say a lot but I'll say only 2 things for skier. Not only are the hostel rooms are cheap and clean but also you can get a discounted ski set(much cheaper than hiring a ski centre's "discounted" ski set) for hiring and free bus to a ski centre. You can get these info when you meet Mr. and Mrs. Gura.Additionally, you should not miss welcome-drink and cookies on day1. P.S if you can speak German or at least can say some words it will help you understand and communicate with local a lot better.. :b(e.g: Bus' pronunciation is not like an American or British English way. It is more like German way. Boo-s Anyway, you will know.) Another Tip: Sparkling water= Perliva Still water =Nea perliva. Hello: Ahoy, Ciao Thank you : Ja-qu-em
