Customer reviewthe parking place facility. the hostel is pretty close to the historical center of the city, but is a big one (5 or 6 floors), so it gets pretty noisy during night-time. the common room is very small for such a big hostel so u end up having fun on the corridor, disturbing the others. only one toilet and 2 showers for each floor, ppl were searching for a free shower on each floor. But for one night it's ok :) |

Vikki TurtonWell. this is a huge complex so do not be decieved by the photos. I was overcharged for the first two nights for what i paid for on hostelbookers and when i challenged this to the staff they suddenly spoke very bad english and eventually told me to go away so they could sort other customers out. I rechallenged this with another member of staff who realised in the evening, but the experience still left a bitter taste. The Hostel is also used alot by very young party goers who aside from the noise, which i dont mind, where rude and couldnt be bothered to take their keys out and were banging on the doors untill 4am to be let into the rooms. Staff did nothing to stop this. On top of this the doors were always left open and all the locks on the lockers were broken leaving all your things on display for the 500 or so guests here to take whelst you are out. On top of this the 1 toilet between around 50 people on our floor always stunk and the showers where multi sex and were constantly dirty(full of pubic hair and worse in the mornings after the que of hangovers couldnt wait for the 1 toilet). for 20 euros a night a hotel could have been booked in the same area. On the good side, there is free internet if your bothered to wait a few hours for the 3 terminals between the entire complex. no free breakfast or events oranised and promoted by the hostels at night, which as I am traveling on my own are largely relied upon. |

Sophie MurtoughWe arrived on the date booked only to be told they had cancelled our reservation. We were first told this was because we hadn't called to confirm even though we had not been told to do so, but then received an email saying they were cancelling as they had no beds. We were left stranded at 10pm on a friday night with nowhere to stay. Very unhelpful staff who told us there were no other hostels around (we found one across the road) and refused to apologise or give us a refund. How do we get our deposit back from you? |

Customer reviewis very easy to find the hostel because it is located in a very central and big street. around the hostel you can find lots of cheap restaurants, cafes, pubs and travel agencies. it is quite close to the old town too, so walking to the important things in the city is very easy. bratislava is a very small city,so you won-t have to buy bus tickets or tramways. the rooms are big and there is always a good atmosphere with the other guests. we met very interesting people. I recommend Patio Hostel to every person who wants to spend a few days in Slovakia-s capital. it-s very cheap and you will have a good service. |

Customer reviewThe hostel is great, but the person below was exactly right (I wish I'd listened) when they say the noise travels up from where people drink and smoke to the dorms, plus there are works in the morning. I got almost NO sleep (even at 4am they were still going). |

Michael CromptonAwful. We were originally booked for two nights but upped and left after one, they were reasonable about the refund though. They let people check in at around one o clock in the morning, which meant that they had to turn the light on and make their beds whilst we were trying to sleep. Then building work within the hostel started at about eight (we weren't told about it), with extrememly loud machinery. The sound of people chatting travelled straight into our room at all times If you want to sleep don't stay here |

Sara OhlssonThe hostel were not very clean at all. I felt dirty all the time there, even efter taking a shower. A plus is that they got kitchen at each floor, even though it´s not big. Fun with a footballgame down in the basement. |
