Liked: Good location - a short (under 10 mins) pretty walk to the old town attractions and 5 mins from a big Tesco. The hostel looks aged but it was kept clean. 5 PCs in the common room and free laundry, reliable free wifi in the rooms.

Disliked: The kitchens are tiny with electric portable hobs and microwaves so don't buy anything that needs to be cooked in an oven! There was only one shower designed for women (i.e. with a lockable door not just a shower curtain) which got a bit crowded at times.

Liked: Ok location

Disliked: Mattresses on the beds were the worst Ive had in combined 18months of travelling, Im an 80kg guy and was basically just laying on the hard wood surface as the mattress was so flacid and lumpy. Bathrooms were poor and the staff did nothing about noise within the hallways meaning you had to do it yourself. The free map they provide is amateur hour, many roads not marked and its hard to find.

Liked: The location of the Patio Hostel is amazing, it is a 10 minutes walk from the international bus depot, very easy to find and a 5 minutes walk to the historic old town. The facilities are perfect: clean bathrooms/dorms with free security lockers, free WiFi and five computers for those without their own laptops, free laundry facilities, kitchen for self caterers, outside patio for chilling out, free luggage storage, free linen and towel and most importantly the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Stay here with confidence.

Liked: the hostel was fine. friendly and helpfull staff.

Disliked: there were annoying children from the street runniong around in the common areas. some of the dorm rooms were walkthroug-rooms, which ment that people stazing in the next room, had the kez to ziour room. not that secure.

Liked: well most of all its teh location of hostel, it was like 5 minutes to anywhere, staff was also great, they didn't have problem to help with directions and so, really nice people

Liked: I liked the location - the hostel is situated just 10 minutes walk from the city center. A lot of shops nearby, including products, batteries, postoffice etc. Very friendly staff. Everything is made for guests' comfort. I would recommend this hostel to everyone who wants to visit Bratislava.

Liked: The rooms were nice, bright and clean with good beds. The bathrooms were always clean. Free wifi and computer access was cool and they had free laundry. Good place and good value!

Disliked: I did a wash of clothes hoping the dryer might actually dry clothes, this was not the case, after almost 3 hours in the dryer I packed wet clothes. Probably my fault for not doing it the night before and then hanging to dry... North American dryers are 500% better!

Liked: Location was very good!

Disliked: For the girls there should be own showers and for the boys own. Also the fridge should be bigger and also the dining area could be bigger cause there was only two chears and a small table :)

Liked: The location is good and the staff is very friendly!

Disliked: 1- The bathrooms are not very well marked. I found a man TWICE in the women's bathroom! one of the times he had just got out of the shower!! not a good way to start the day!! 2- The noise at night! It's not good to have loud music and screams when you're trying to sleep.

Liked: We are not a very young couple (more than 40 years) but when we go on holiday we like to stay in a place not expensive, clean and very near to the city center. Hostel Patio corresponds to our expectations. The room was nice, clean, with comfortable beds. The facilities were good.

Disliked: At the first moment the building appeared a little bit old and scrabby, even if then we realized that was ok. The staff nice even if not very friendly...we are Italian!

Liked: Good location. In city center, 20 mins walk to railway station. Clean room n comfy bed, clean toilet n kitchen. I saw the cleaning lady clean up every morning, she really clean up the place. Worth to stay!!

Disliked: Dinning table too small, only can fit for 2 peoples!!
