Well, the flyer said: THE ONLY IRON CURTAIN IS BETWEEN US AND THE BOREDOM. But for me it was boring as hell, since its really hard to meet fellow travellers in that massive building. But still though, value for money was alright.

Hostel is located arr half hour from the old town by walk and 10 minutes by bus.

The place is just a bit strange and a bit grotty, but not necessarily dirty. It is good value for money, E9.50 cant be beaten, and you can't expect fantastic luxury for that price!

I read some pretty poor reviews of this hostel, and I must say they were a little exaggerated. This hostel was fine. It's student accommodation most of the year, obviously, so all rooms are single beds (3 in each dorm), with access to own toilet, shower and small cooker. The only problem I had was checking in. Only one person working, a huge line up, and for some reason it took 30mins to get to us, even though we were second in line. Every time I went to the foyer there were people waiting. So expect a delay unless you're luck!

value for money yeah, but hard to recommend. we may have been unlucky, but our room really stunk and the toilet did too, showere head broken. quite unclean, dried pickles on wall from an old pickle race. no cooking facility, small bar fridge. location slighty out of town but easy on trmas back in. just dont expect too much, the name may be new but the builfing and facilities are 30 years old.

Very friendly staff, good location and we got to meet slovakian students that leved in this student's home and had a good time! But: This student's home was not really clean... You could still find the garbage left behind by the people that stayed there before you... They could clean more for the money we spent...

I like this place. Staff was amazingly helpful and kind. Hostel is located next to the Danube river and botanical garden. There is a tennis court and volleyball pitch and you can rent some equipment from the reception. Dormitories are small ( only for 3 people ), what is very comfortable. Shortly : good value for reasonable price.

The best thing about this hostel was location (very easy to find) and staff (a very nice English speaking girl took care of us and everything went smoothly).

It looks more like a hotel. Only 3 beds on each apartment. Lots of space. Great place! Will sty there again.

staff, voleyball, internet for free, great facilities and especially the idea of arranging a student house as a hostel - lot of fun!
