Clean and comfortable, with very helpful and friendly staff. The downstairs bar is dirt cheap, and themed from the movie 'Hostel' which is excellent.
Only bad points are it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the city centre, which gets a bit tiresome (although getting there from the airport is easy so that's a bonus) and there are only 3 showers between all the guests, so forget about showering in the morning when in a hurry!
But in spite of those couple of small things I would highly recommended hostel and be this and be glad to stay there agian.

free internet is a plus. don`t stay here as a single female as the bar is done up like the film ´hostel´with mutilated waxworks. Hilarious.

I think people forgot how smiling.... I wouldnt say it was horrible, but in general all the town, including the hostel, seemed to me in a very grey atmosphere

It was very clean and the staff was extremly friendly. Everyone was able to help us find things and able to speak English which made life much easier.

The beds are soooooo comfy. The location wasn't the best but then again, Bratislava is so small that it doesn't really matter. The downstairs bar is a cool place to hang out and meet people. And can I say how comfy the beds are, I was sad to leave just because of the beds.

Absolutly brilliant atmosphere and brilliant staff. Mattheu has one hell of a great place to stay.We had a Slovakian and English party on the 22/2/08, stay at the hostel and see the pictures. (there were some real sorry people the next morning and that included the staff).

it was really new, the bedrooms are nice, the beds are really good. there are lockers and the shower is great. however, they have a dog there and it goes where it wants. it entered in my room and catched my shoe and really damaged it. this waa what left me very unhappy about the hostel.

bar was absolutely great, it was cool that was open so late, and the recepcionist was very kind

Some staff are really helpful and friendly. Others are just normal. The bar in the basement is good. But there is neither a door or sound proof to isolate the noise from upstairs rooms. it is not easy to fall asleep even when you really want to.
