Liked: Everything! The staff were lovely and helpful, the location is amazing and the place is so homely and exceptionally clean!

Disliked: We had someone snoring in our dorm...not the hostels fault.

Liked: This hostel was very good. Its in a great location and is very friendly. The staff will also help you book things and with directions etc. Highly recommended :). Please dont let the stairs put you off, they are not as bad as made out.

Liked: Everything is clean and prepared well. The staffs are nice, also the roommates. I really enjoyed my time there. I will be back soon :)

Disliked: Location in the 4rd floor, it was quite hard for me since I had so many and heavy luggage.

Liked: I think this was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Very modern, comfy, really friendly staff, underground just around the corner. We very much enjoyed our stay!!

Liked: Central, clean and good FREE internet.

Disliked: Not a very hostel-like atmosphere. Very small common room with owner/receptionist there all the time. No real kitchen facilities.

Liked: we just liked the cleanliness and location.

Disliked: To go to the bathroom you have to cross the reception / kitchen / living room "that are the same room." Can you imagine the morning, just woke up! The pleasure of brushing your teeth in the living room, while the people they check-in. As you arrive, there are 62 steps that are waiting impatiently. is always a pleasure doing 4 flights of stairs after a trip. only the large room has windows. the others have an innovative air purification system. good luck

Liked: the bathrooms and rooms were very clean, ther were free shampoo and soaps, free breakfast and hot chocolate, free internet, nice and friendly staffs!

Disliked: we need to climb 4 stairs, and we are not allowed to bring food from outside, we also cant cook there. But overall id like to stay there again!!

Liked: location, friendly people, new and clean.

Disliked: first I felt uncomfortable with the showers behind the common room and sinks in (!) the common room....- everybody watching you, and passing by everybody wrappend in a towel... but you get used to it.

Liked: When I turned up at the hostel at 2am after my flight. Even though I had not emailed (e-mail failure) ahead they set up a bed for me and gave me a room when one was available at 6am. The staff make this place friendly and helpful! Top marks

Liked: All staff are very friendly and kind! Location is also nice! close to station, river, Marlion park and China Town!

Disliked: The hostel is on 4th floor without any lifts so i had to climb up with my heavy luggage! I stayed in a female dorm which has no window and my bed was just next to an exit door. I heard some noise which people talking outside by phone or Skype till late and people climbed up stairs. it was not too noisy but woke me up.

Liked: Extremely clean and new, amazing and strong coffee, shower heads that pummel you with water, strong wifi signal, sturdy beds, right next to the Metro Train and Starbucks. This place is the real deal, and I will stay here every time I am in Singapore.

Liked: staff were friendly and location was convenient. very clean.

Disliked: having to take off your shoes is a bit of a nuisance when you're dealing with so many people. (i understand they're just trying to keep the place clean--and they really do--but that many bare feet is kind of gross.) and the plastic-wrapped beds are super noisy.

Liked: This hostel is located in the heart of the city with affordable price. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Dorms and bathrooms were very clean as well. Strongly recommend!

Liked: RC has everything you need! 24 hour access, clean bathrooms, private lockers, personal bed lights, plug adaptors, free toast tea and coffee in the mornings, firm mattresses, even your bed gets made in the morning! 10 out of 10 with the great location which is close to the train station also. Thanks for the great stay River City!

Liked: Clean, comfy, quiet. Couldn't ask for more! Personal lockers, free wifi, hot showers, personal bed lamp and even a multi country conveyer for your charger. Thanks river city!

Liked: I really liked all the staff at River City Inn. In particular, I found Valentin to be a very nice guy (and very friendly0. The hostel is literally a few minutes from 'The Central' mall from which the MRT can be taken to all areas of the city. There was also no problem if one wanted to hang out in the hostel during the day. The woman spent a long time cleaning during the day in the hostel also which meant cleanliness was certainly no issue. The hostel was also used by 2 families during my stay which showed its family friendliness.
