Liked: it was simple and classic and the bed was good even though it was small, but overall was good.

Disliked: there was almost nothing i disliked about, it was just a small rat was in the room and my friend, whom i was traveling with, caught it by herself! so it freaked me out on the day i arrived!

Liked: The think I like most is the service in Mittra. The staffs treated us in a very gentle and polite way. The provided necessary help whenever we asked. I miss them a lot when I came back home. The atmosphere here made me feel as I am at home. Rooms and restrooms are clean. I also like the ground in front of the house, where I could meet other travellers and talked to them.

Disliked: The room is quite narrow for 6 beds. However, this is not a very big problem for me. :D

Liked: Since rooms are no more than 6 beds, tends to be a bit quiet and there are toilet bathrooms on each floor.

Disliked: I met a receptionist with a racist attitude!

Liked: All the staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about Singapore. They would provide additional assistance whenever required and before I left, they were already my friends forever. My gift wall clock is now being hung in the reception area to remind myself what a great place The Mitraa is and will come back with my family shortly. Cheers. TL Chong

Liked: Extremely friendly staff. Had cold beer/coke/juice for purchase, and the breakfast was just toast/jam/banana/coffee but sufficient - you're in Singapore so get out and eat. Close to big Hawker stalls (go and try some foods) and a 24hr market, both of which are easy to get to by walking (ask staff). Ask for 3rd floor room, trust me on this one. Internet worked well, even in our 3rd floor room.

Disliked: Walls are thin - bring earplugs. Outside noise can be hear just like you were outside. Again - earplugs. Really disliked some of the guests there - with the showers available, there's no reason to smell like c**p. Europeans, meh.

Liked: The rooms were nice--clean and bright, we had comfortable mattresses and pillows too. Our breakfasts were yummy and even included fruit! The hostel was well-located for late night eating but still about 7 min walk to the MRT (no fun in the rain). Perhaps most importantly, the staff were really cool and always willing to help. Thank you to John, Ed and co.!!

Disliked: after coming from Cambodia and Vietnam, we found the price of this hostel to be quite high given its location. I don't think this can be helped in Singapore though. Also the showers were quite consistently cold.

Liked: Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Tons of tourism info available. Breakfast was more substantial than most free breakfasts in the area. Hostel was very clean. Location was decent--a quick walk from the subway. Good, spacious lockers in the dorms.

Disliked: Dorm rooms were small and a bit crowded when full. Common area also a little "cozy".

Liked: Friendly staff so convenient. I will always stay there when on a short stopover in Singapore, I am 66 so would not stay long term. Highly recommend it is my third stay there.

Liked: The atmosphere is really international and its filipino staff are really friendly and helpful. They are the best asset of the Mitraa. The location is good, only one metro station away from Little India, 3 from China Town and well communicated with the rest of Singapore's main attractions. The place is clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfast is not bad. The sanitation facilities are good as well. Overall I would say it's good value for money, especially in such an expensive place as Singapore.

Disliked: The rooms are quite small for four people and even if you share them with friends there's virtually no space for privacy. The bunk beds take up so much space that there's only about a couple of square meters left in the rooms for clothes, bags, books... . Closing the door gives you an almost claustrophobic feeling, being in there cramped with more people.

Liked: The hostel is made perfect by the staff who are friendly and always on hand to help. There is a pleasant communal area great for meeting other backpackers! Its also great to get free breakfast and wifi. Definitely recommend this hostel to other backpackers!!!

Disliked: If i had to find something wrong it would just be that i was unable to get a wifi connection in my room. Rooms closer to reception do not have this problem.

Liked: The staff was so helpful and so friendly. The man at the front desk went well out of his way to be helpful and make us feel welcome in Singapore. Free breakfast was nice. Everything was clean.

Disliked: The six-person dorm was a bit cramped. No windows and not enough room for six people plus luggage to move around; however, the air con was awesome!

Liked: cozy and freindly place to stay. location is good also.

Disliked: actuall there are three shower room including bathroom. a little bit crowd in the morning. the price is different. if you can book thru website it's cheaper .
