Liked: The brilliant proximity to Chinatown CENTRAL, i.e. IN the thick of the action!The incredibly friendly and helpful owner, Andrew, who knows so bloody much and isn't concerned to spend time being helpful!

Liked: great place to stay the owner is really nice and very helpfull. my only problem was not hot water and one bathroom for 15 odd ppl.

Liked: Andrew and the young woman are really nice and helpful about the city and the places to go. The location is really good too, just in the centre of chinatown.

Liked: Owner was friendly and encouraged the hostellers to meet and talk, which is nice. Has a wonderful legacy in his family's photographs.

Liked: Andrew is an amazing character and can assist with any questions on how to get anywhere, where to eat, what to see etc. He is skilled at translating names into beautiful calligraphy.His partner and staff are all wonderful and the whole place is spotless. Breakfast of tea/coffee and toast with jam is taken on the veranda and socializing here with other backpackers is essential. Andrews fathers amazing photos of old Singapore are on display and copies can be bought reasonably. Lockers are also available for valuables. Right in the centre of Chinatown your able to access the underground train system, buses or even a rickshaw but walking to the Quay is not far either.

Liked: The location was very central and close to MRT, rooms were clean and new, comfortable and very quiet at night. The owner really made me feel at home and helped me with any query or question I had about sightseeing in Singapore. The Directions to the hostel were also very clear. I would recommend this hostel to any backpacker.

Liked: Very clean and great location. Friendly owners. The only thing I recommend improving is for the owners to not come in and out of the dorm early in the morning. It wakes people up. Otherwise good hostel.

Liked: Its location in Chinatown as it is very close to the city centre (and accomodation is super expensive in Singapore), and also being in Chinatown meant you gain that cultural experience. The owner is very friendly and loves to have a chat. I always saw the staff smiling. The sheets are clean and they provide you with a locker.

Liked: There is no reception desk and you need to go in search of the owner if you have any questions. This hostel consists of two dorm rooms, a bathroom and a small area to make tea/coffee. Very basic but in a good location in chinatown. The six bed dorm was rather crammed.

Liked: Tiny hostel (just 1 dorm room, a tiny hallway/kitchen and a bathroom) but great staff and an excellent location. Recommended.

Liked: Andrew and his wife were really helpful with any requests that I had. Andrew is a great source of knowledge for anything Singapore - esp around Chinatown. His staff were also helpful with reccommendations of places to eat. Location is great - just off food street in China town and near the one of the many shopping centres where you can eat at the Hawker centre for really cheap.

Liked: Great location. Brilliant owner who has so much history in Singapore and China, and was telling us the best places to go to.A problem with hostel is there's no common area to chill out in.
