Liked: It is right next to the MRT which is the direct line to the city centre and to the airport. No problem with the AC, the hot water. It is clean. The breakfast was just right. The people I met at the hostel were great. Kay, the woman who takes care of the hostel, was very friendly. The area is quiet at night which is what I look for in a hostel. There were lots of restaurants and fruit/vegetable stands in the area. I would recommend this hostel.

Disliked: The area with the showers, toilets and sinks is very narrow. The showers stalls are small. Like in most hostels, there is either no shelf or hook in the shower stall or only 1. The hostel does charge a 10% service charge on the whole bill and I don't understand why. But with that and even with the cost of the MRT, it still cost me about US15$ a day.

Liked: Free wifi and breakfast, quite clean, nice beds.

Disliked: Very very cramped if everyone in the room has luggage (which was the case with my room). Also uncomfortable showers and sinks (too little space there).

Liked: The place is near the MRT station. It is easier for me to travel everywhere. The facilities and other added values offered were also good, such as free wifi (common) and free breakfast in the morning that I didn't get from the other hostel.

Disliked: The entrance is too small and it was hard to find this place at first, because the name was not easy to spot.

Liked: very clean in the inside quarter., very nice and accommodating landlady...cheerful..strict but good ., very near aljunied station., just 1 ride from changi airport ., no need to ride a taxi just ride mrt...great value for the money..free breakfast... eat all you want until suppy last...clean bathroom.

Disliked: no service towel., so sure to bring one

Liked: What is good about this hostel is that the staff is strict but in a good way. She always makes it sure that the place is well kept and clean. The breakfast is good as well. But the best thing is that it is very accessible to the train station.

Disliked: Internet connection and computer facilities need an upgrade. And the wi-fi should be 24 hours for better use.

Liked: It was very clean, there was internet in the room. Very close to city center by MRT, the station is 1 minute far away. The price was very good compared to other Singapore hotel prices, breakfast was included. Nutella, bread and coffee is a perfect beginning of the day mainly in Asia where the breakfast is often meat and rice.

Disliked: Landlady was extremely rude at my arrival, however she become very kind during my stay. I have read similar comments about her, however I really expected a warm welcome after my long and tireing airplane journey.

Liked: I've read a lot of peoples negative comments about this place, and I think some of them are unwarranted. We arrived at 9am and were told, quite rudely, that we had to come back at 2pm because that's when check in was. This is fair enough, that's the hostel rules, so we left our bags there and slept on a park bench for a few hours. However, when we came back at about 3pm everything was fine - the room was ready, the staff were really friendly and helpful, even doing our laundry for us, and they suggested places to go to eat etc. The room had no window but many hostel rooms don't. The beds were comfy and there were lockers for everyone. The showers were clean and though some were in tiny cubicles with a toilet, two of them weren't so it was never any problem. The communal area was really nice, and with free internet, who can complain?!

Disliked: I think the attitude towards customers who arrive early could change for the positive, but to be fair it's only because we were trying to flout the rules that we got such a reaction. Other than that, everything was great!

Liked: This is a great little hostel, very close to the MRT and local Market. Cheap local eateries, I recommend a brilliant little halal Indian restaurant opposite the MRT. Free WiFi and one computer. Offers free breakfast between 6 - 10am, which is a great bonus for the cost of the room. Bedroom 4 is great, as it is pitch black all day, but can lead you to over sleep on those early mornings, also mean that the air conditioning keeps it nice and cold. Well recommended, even if you stay for one night between airport transfer flights as it's very close to the airport.

Disliked: The showers are a little compact, especially the cubicles that double as toilets. But atleast you can multitasking in them (perfect for the morning you overselpt)

Disliked: This hostel is overrated! This is the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. The staff there wasn't only unfriendly, she even scolded me by saying,:"Can't you understand English?" I arrived there at 6am and she didn't allow me to unload my luggage and wait there and asked me to come back at 9am. I called her again at 8am. She even scolded me. In the end I stayed at the Urban Hostel at the other side of the street.
