Our Hostel is located in the Geylang subzone of Aljunied. Nearby or hostel, Geylang Serai is centre of the local Malay community, where the Malay Village is frequently visited by tourists who are keen to know more about the local race and culture here. The unique architectural here is the abundant of old shops some more then 100 years old.
In the 1Sep-1Oct 2008(Hari Raya 1 Oct 2008) is the best time to be at Geylang, where there are abundant of street markets and stalls in the Malay Village. These stalls cater for the needs of the Malay community to buy Hari Raya(The Malay Auspicious Holiday after the month of fasting) goodies. Of coz there are many food stalls selling local delights for the Malays who have fasted to open fast at dusk(7pm)
History :Geylang was a settlement for the “Orang Laut” or sea people and Malays. The area had coconut plantations and was once known as Geylang Kelapa. “Kelapa” means coconut in Malay. But since the start of the 20th century it has been known as Geylang Serai. “Serai” is Malay for lemon grass, which was also found in the area.

6 or 4 bed shared - for the budget conscious traveler. We offer added security with locked room keys only available to tenants of that room.
6 or 4 bed private - for the travelers in groups that demands the privacy and security.
Twin rooms for couples and travelers in pairs. We have excellent security and privacy.
This is a vibrant area with lots of local food outlets that open till very late. Near local Malay heritage area or Geylang Serai yet located at the fringe of the city central business district, it is minutes away by MRT (subway) to Chinatown, financial district, Orchard Road and lots of places of interest that are accessible via the MRT network. This area consists of a mixture of modern buildings and old conservation shops preserving the historical heritage of old Singapore!
Aljunied MRT (Subway) station is right at our door step, 1 minute walk away. There are lots of convenient stores, restaurants, pubs, clubs, 7-Eleven, library, food stalls, and dessert stalls all around.
The beach is 20 minutes walk from our hostel.
Use of towels refundable deposit, upon return of towel.
Towels rental available upon request only. Please ask for one if you need a towel.
Remaining payment must be paid in full upon arrival and in cash OR CREDIT CARD. NOTE: Bank charges apply when payment is made by Credit Card. No refunds if you decide not to stay upon your arrival or No show. Hostel reserves the rights to charge room rates according to the booking in the event of no show or if you decided not to stay, unless cancellation is made at least 1 week prior to arrival. At certain times you may be required to swap rooms due to beds availability. In the event private beds/4bed dorms/original configurations are not available due to unforeseen circumstances, we sincerely apologize and will reserve the rights offer you shared beds at a discount. If you would not accept our downgrade offer we will refund you the deposit paid and assist you to find alternative accommodation via phone or allow you to use free internet access for you to find accommodation of your choice.
YOU MUST SEND us email if you wish to check in during odd hours 12AM-7AM Check in. 24 hours check-in available subject to advanced email notice. Please send email of your arrival time at least 2 days before you come.
Additional 10% service charge on total bill applies for all arrivals from 1st April 08 onwards..The amount due shown on your internet bill DOES NOT include service charge that will be payable when you arrive.
Deposit is required to stay at our hostel.
You are required to Pay a refundable Deposit when you arrive.
There is a Late Check in Service fee of $5 per person for arrivals on 1 April 2008 onwards if you check in between 12AM-7AM.
Normal check in time 2PM. Checkout Time 11AM. Additional charges apply if you check in early subject to availability.
