Liked: the staff here are fantastic, they make you feel right at home. The rooms are spotless and the bathrooms are huge and a totaly luxury...there's even a bath!This place is more of a home than a hostel, the kitchen is compleate with everything you need, the supermarket and centre are close and the atmosphere is chilled and friendly. I'd reccomend this place to anyone in an instant.

Liked: Very nice, especially Ivana who was always ready to help us with anything we needed. Rooms are clean and comfortable, good atmosphere.

Liked: Family atmosfere. In fact Podbara is more like pension- it is family house in calm location close to the city promenade. The house looks very good, rooms are clean, you get 2 towels, bathrooms are big and nice, kitchen is spacy and has everything you need and also looks good, you can use computers with Internet acces free of charge. Manager of the hostel- young lady Ivana is always glad to show you all the interresting sightseeing in surroundings and in the morning she prepares you traditional coffe. We also got great homemade cakes. Just perfect, very good value/price info.

Liked: you can't desire a better hospitality! Ivana is wonderful!and her puppy is very amusing..the place is very nice, it seems to be at home

Liked: Excellent hostel!!!! Family run. They were all really helpfull and nice. The Mum even gave us chocolate cake! Clean, safe, free internet, big kitchen! Would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Really Friendly, helpful staff.

Disliked: It seemed a bit removed from town, so it did not have a particularly buzzy atmosphere.

Liked: The family who run the hostel are absolutely lovely and so helpful. Its a bit difficult to find the hostel initially, but only 10 mins walk to the centre of town and 15 mins to the fortress. Best nights sleep traveling so far.

Liked: hostel podbara is a nice little family led hostel. When we were there we were the only guests who were not from the balkans, which was a nice change compared to other hostels where you usually only meet people from the us, australia or western europe. The staff, especially dunja and yvana made us feel very welcome and we really enjoyed the breakfast they brought us at around noon.

Liked: Hostel Podbara is definitely one of the best hostels I have visited. The owners are the most friendly and they offer you anything you want and need. You feel very welcomed there, rooms are clean and you really feel like you are at home. The hostel is just a 10 minute walk away from the city center. Also, you get served for breakfast with super good Serbian food. Definitely deserves 5 stars!
