Liked: The hostel owner, Marko, is the greatest guy around. I was travelling by myself and he welcomed me by taking me for a burger and beer at a local restaurant, and finished off by taking me out to party with him and his friends. Couldn't have had a better experience.

Disliked: I chose to have my own private room, and I'm guessing that this room may be affected by mold. The air in the room was a bit funny and gave me symptoms of a cold, but it got better when I slept with the window slightly open. However, I checked out the dorms and they appeared to be in great condition.

Liked: George and Marko create a great atmosphere for the guests, and the location is perfect for exploring Belgrade. I like the downstairs lounge with free internet, tv, and games. It's nice to get free towels.

Disliked: Only one bathroom one each floor.

Liked: Friendly atmosphere, staff, common room good equipt

Disliked: Toilette clear but shower little dirty. We stayed there in February, but not warm enought, thought staff offered additional heater.

Liked: I really liked how small it was and the location was pretty good!

Disliked: The do advertise free breakfast during your stay but when we got there they were already low on food and by the end of our stay they were out of breakfast food because they didn't restock which was kind of a bummer.

Liked: Great hostel! Nice and helpful staff, good atmosphere and a perfect location (really close to the fortress). I also liked the free breakfast and the fact that they have air conditioning in every room, hostel is perfect for meeting other travelers. I'll be back!

Liked: It was in a good location, near the city center. They had lockers and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The common room was nice and had a FULL dvd collection. The best part about this hostel, though, was the staff. Really cool, really, nice, really relaxed, laid back, and easy going.

Disliked: Not to much to say on this one.

Liked: A good homely little hostel right near the center of Belgrade. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful - even when arriving at some stupid time in the morning. The common room is awesome with bean bags. Its excellent value for money.

Liked: Nice hangout in the basement with a wonderful fan and bigass tv with xbox/DVD. The guy who worked there was very helpfull, helped me catch game 5 of the NBA finals in the middle of the night, THANK U!!!

Liked: You had a lot of possibilities there to get food or drink 24 hours around. I really enjoyed it because it was also easily accessible by foot to the center. Really nice place, beautiful rooms and clean :) Thanks a lot! Greetings David----

Liked: George and his girlfriend who together run Star are so very nice and helpful with everything, even helped me with laundry which is right next to kitchen. Location is perfect, right next to Belgrade fortress and military museum. When in Belgrade, they are the only place I will ever stay again. Cannot write enough kind words both about Hostel and staff, if you stay somewhere else you would be wasting your money and probably time as well.

Liked: In the 3 times that i have stayed here now, I personally have met at least 8 other people that have come once for a couple of nights and ended up staying at Star for weeks or even months or have returned over and over again. It’s the type of place you feel at home and comfortable staying as long as you want. There’s everything you need; internet, free breakfast, good beds, comfortable common area, clean and sociable atmosphere. Star is one of my favorite parts about Belgrade. Plus the owners, Djordje and Marko, are the greatest!

Liked: The staff were brilliant, really cool, social and friendly and help in any way they can. The hostel was really nice and the location was brilliant, very close to both the main centre and Kalemegdan. Well worth the money and ideal for anz visitor to this city

Liked: The hostel was easy to find and located close to the main city centre and Kalemegdan, an ideal location for exploring Beograd (Belgrade). Also the staff are friendly, social and cool and will help you in any way they can. Brilliant, I will be going again and recommend it to every visitor to the city
