Liked: Both the bedrooms and bathrooms of the Cricket Hostel were very clean and the premises is decorated in warm friendly colors. When I stayed the other guests were all quiet. This, combined with the location meant for peaceful nights sleep - Just what's needed after days exploring Belgrade! The proprietors Milos & Beka are friendly and provide good local information (such as a sheet listing places to try traditional Serbian foods) and a tourist map. They are not always present at the hostel, but guests are provided with their own access keys, and they are easily reachable by SMS. I was a bit confused after reading some other reviews about the Cricket Hostel in regard to location. Some reviews claimed a half hour walk to the city centre, and others stated only 5 minutes. The answer depends on what you call the city centre. The area with the main attractions - the Belgrade Fort and the pedestrian shopping centre is about a 20 minute walk away (An easy walk along a main road). The hostel is only a couple of minutes from a large roundabout which is also a mini-hub of the city. I found the location to be good. If you don't feel like walking, there is also a trolley bus line right outside the property. I was happy with my stay overall.

Liked: Nice hostel, clean, quite far from town but you can walk, maybe 30mins. Staff really helpful
