Liked: -it's swimming on the danube surrounded by a park -the bar in the ground floor is a nice place, has a lovely view and a terracce towards the danube -staff was helpfull and really friendly however not communicative -it's not in the center of belgrad but you easily get there by bus, even in the night it was no problem to get back -had a really relaxing stay there, would definitly go there again

Disliked: -although the 5-bed dorm is a really nice room, it is maybe a little too small for five people und there were not enough locker for five people; for me it was no problem as I had the room for my own -no cooking area but you can bring you own food into the bar and store your food in a fridge

Liked: Have you ever lived on a boat? Eat and drink on a river? It is not a luxury. It is worth to try on ArkaBarka. The property and the surrounding area is wonderful. It is almost like you are in the nature. ArkaBarka provides you bikes so you can explore the great park and ride to Zemun - a lovely quarter just 20 min. from the hostel. The breakfast was good and the beverages are at the same prize as in a random pub in the city.

Disliked: You can find cheaper hostels in the city centre. In this case you will miss the riverside, the view and Zemun, and the experience of living on a floating house. And ArkaBarka is only three bus stops from the centre. The public transport service is good and cheap in Beograd.

Liked: First off it was on a boat, which was really chilled out and relaxed. Staff were very helpful and took the time to explain a few things about the city to us. Breakfast was filling, views great. It was a bit more expensive than some of the other hostels but well worth it. Location was good to the floating bars, buses very frequent and cheep into the city or to Zemun.

Disliked: We wanted to stay longer but it was booked out. Ask a local where to get off the bus as sometimes they don't stop at every stop.

Liked: Very friendly staff, very close to the splavs, very cheap but very clean with good facilities (no kitchen). Great bar but a little expensive

Disliked: It rocks a lot, so if you get sea sick....

Liked: Chose this hostel purely for the novelty factor but had a really enjoyable stay - the bar/cafe area is great, its nice to not be in the centre of the city (there is a park adjoining) and there is plenty to do nearby including boat cruises and shopping. And its on a boat!

Liked: It's a different (in a good way) sort of place. There is a lovely terrace right on the river, it's quiet and the staff are always willing to serve a drink. On a warm summer evening, it's easy to chat to other guests, have a drink and just admire the river. It's more of a hostel/hotel because there are private rooms. The best thing for me was being surrounded by nature but not that far from the city by bus and a short walk across the park.

Disliked: I really liked the place but if you want to be in the action of the city then remember that this place is a bus / taxi ride away from the centre. On arriving it can be easy to walk past the walkway down to the hostel - there could be better signing, just remember to look for the log with the hostel name on it.

Liked: The location is excellent!!!

Disliked: They liked to accommodate us in another hostel...much different from this...and much more old and ugly...although there was a place for us in this hostel (Arka).

Liked: Friendly staff, clean rooms and facilities, great concept hostel.

Disliked: We were arriving by car and the Hostel doesn't have its own car parking. The closest available parking space is 5 minutes walking distance to the hostel. Safe parking place, though. Also, the bathroom which contains two showers is completely shared without possibility of locking the room while showering which was a bit discomforting for the female part of our Group. However a very nice hostel. Would recommend.

Liked: Stunning unique location, very friendly and helpful staff and very clean and tidy. Plus free bike hire = fun times!

Liked: unusual form of floating (can be feel) hotel, interestenig neighbourhood (park, whwre many activities of local people can be observed)

Liked: A good concept and an unusual venue.

Disliked: However there was a really lound party on the night we stayed and we only got 3 hours sleep as the our bedroom felt like it was in a night club !!!

Liked: The location of the hostel is really good, the atmoshpere is awesome to and the views are amazing. Its a really fun unique place to stay!

Disliked: Finding the hostel at night was terrible, the directions the hostel gave led us past a pack of stray dogs who seemed to control the area of the park as you get off the bus. The dogs chased us across the park but luckily stop when we reached the big 'SIV' building. It was scary. However, arrive in the day and the hostel is easy to find.

Liked: ArkaBarka on the shore of the Donau is truelly a wonderfull location to stay. Service is exelent. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The bar with its terras on the river side invites for a drink. Showers and toilets need more frequent and pro-found cleaning, but compared to other hostels one could still call them 'clean'. Sometimes there is noice disturbance from the floating dancings 500 meter up river.

Liked: Good value for money, very clean and the bar downstairs overlooking the river is great for chilling out. Was quite hard to find, not very well signposted but easy enough when you knew how and lots of public transfer nearby to take you into the heart of the city. The hostel itself is not noisy but it's near some open air clubs that play loud music into the early hours, won't be a problem if you are at them...

Liked: Really quirky and interesting. Staff were really friendly and helpful and helped make the trip enjoyable. Nice to sit out on the decking in the evening and for breakfast and admire the view! Would go back.
