Lovely big building in a great raised location - the view from the dining room is quite magnificent!!
Overview
Pitlochry is a bustling, blooming small Victorian town at the very centre of Scotland.
Situated on the River Tummel it comes complete with salmon Fish Ladder and Festival Theatre (May-Oct : 50% discount for Hostellers!). It contains the smallest whisky distillery in Scotland (free tours) and a 300-year-old Inn brewing its own ales. Set amidst hills, lochs and woodland Pitlochry makes a superb base for walkers and cyclists, as well as for tours by vehicle to a variety of attractions.
