Liked: The kitchen is hudge, even David Bowie wants to cook there.

Liked: I enjoyed an ecellent stay at this hostel. The recent renovations and the quality of the improvements are superb. It's more like a hotel and indeed better quality than some of the local hotels. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The kitchen facilities are amazing - and the meals available to buy are excelent value for money. I would definitely recommend this hostel and would stay again.

Disliked: I enjoyed everyting about this property - except having to share a dorm - but that's what to expect in a hostel if you are a single traveler and don't want to pay the full rate for a room on your own.

Liked: Everything! Had just been refurbished to all the normal YHA facilities and then some.

Liked: We are a little group of four Spanish girls. I can only say good things about our stay in Oban. The hostel has been restored recently. Our room was big (with 3 bunks) and 6 wardrobes where each one could keep their belongings. In the room there was a little really cleaned shower! And a toilet what was really useful too. All the furniture was new. The bunks were comfortable and we had a room with lovely views too. The staff were really friendly and kind (especially Simon). All the facilities were new, the kitchen seemed a professional kitchen, with a long and wide table to cook and prepare food. There was a big room where the guest could eat, or if they preferred we could eat something in the restaurant of the hostel. I really enjoyed my stay!

Disliked: Nothing, If I have to say anything I didn't like much, it was the shower which was a bit small. But it was big enough and we had a shower for 6 people! It was good!

Liked: Excellent place to stay, I'd recommend it to anyone. Close enough to the town center (Oban isn't big anyway) comfortable, excellent atmosphere in what appears to be a renovated 19th cent building, helpful staff. Our room had a view of the sea, was large and aired, and had a bathroom inside. We paid pretty much the same price we paid to other hostels all around Scotland for a much better accommodation. Clean, modern kitchen, comfortable environments. Include Oban in your trip just to relax at this Hostel.

Disliked: I looked hard to find something to bug me, couldn't find any.

Liked: really nice location and an extraordinary view!

Disliked: it's the place where i bitterly learned always to bring earplugs for the night in a hostel! ;) seperated dorms for men and women means me and my girlfriend had to sleep in different rooms. i think that is a case of old-fashioned disproportionate and even wrong prudence, but whatever...

Disliked: It may be intersting to reconsider the toilets . They're clean but look old and above all ... what a waste in water ... taps dripping .!!!a lot ! I think we could do something there !

Liked: The view from this hostel was AMAZING. I got in late and was out early, so I didn't get too much of a chance to see all that the hostel had to offer, but for the price it was a good place to sleep and an amazing place to wake up in the morning.

Liked: this hostel is located very conveniently to the center of Oban and is right on the sea. how beautiful it was to watch the sun set and rise from our window! the staff was extremely helpful, the place was spotless, the sheets crisp and clean, the bathrooms a pleasure, convenient laundry, nice bag breakfast available for purchase. definitely one of the highlights of our travels!

Liked: The best part of the hostel was its peaceful and friendly ambience. The host at the reception and the small group of people staying there were just perfect for a relaxing time. thanks for this lovely stay. The location was perfect, on the sea side. I would recommend everyone to stay there for this cheap price.
