It was excellent in providing for every comfort in a hostel. The sitting and eating areas both comfortable, cosy and social. It was a treat to have a wood stove. Heating and hot water wonderful. Clear notices for everything with a gentle sense of humour to lighten them. Pete and his wife extremely pleasant and helpful. Even the beds were comfortable. We felt we could not have found a better place to stay. Joanne Webster and Lis Cook.

It is fully equipped to suit those who like self catering whilst staying ing the area for walking, cycling or just passing through. Better than the regular youth hostels and without all the restrictions, as well as better security due to its moderate capacity.

This hostel is amazing! The organization of this hostel is inspiring. The owner was very helpful in providing us with maps, helping us rent skis, and lending us bird books. We would recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to explore the Highlands.

Great kitchen facilities and spacious living area with lovely cosy fireplace and good books, board games etc. provided for entertainment. Locals in the pubs were a bit "funny" with us but the village is pretty and we met lots of people staying in this friendly hostel.
