New Lanark Hostel

Discover the 200-year-old Mill village of New Lanark. Surrounded by protected woodland, this riverside village has been beautifully restored and is a world heritage site. The hostel offers small rooms in a historic building as well as great food ready to order on arrival. Ideally located close to un-miss-able places of historic interest, the spectacular Clyde valley waterfalls and local wildlife. New Lanark is an ideal base for groups visiting Glasgow and Edinburgh, a perfect stop over for those cycling Lands End to John O' Groats and the village marks the end of the popular River Clyde Walkway which runs from Glasgow city centre to the heart of New Lanark itself.

Home to one of Scotland’s best rooftop gardens, a health and fitness centre and with delicious food available both at here at the hostel and at the local hotel bar & restaurant, New Lanark makes for a perfect weekend getaway for all ages and interests and budgets.

In hostel facilities include two spacious and comfy lounges where our cyclists, walkers and weary travellers can unwind and relax at the end of a busy day. We also have a large and very well stocked communal kitchen and dining room, free in hostel book exchange, and a dedicated small and very friendly team of staff who can advise and book your onward travel as well as give informative advice on what’s going on in the local area.

Advance bookings are essential during summer.

Accommodation Information

SYHA New Lanark has a selection of shared and private rooms suitable for individuals, families and groups. All of our rooms are equipped with unsuited facilities. Bed sheets and linen are provided (please not that the use of your own sleeping bag is prohibited) and towels are available to hire at reception.

One, two and three course meals are available to book most days up until 7:00pm
