Liked: location, location, location

Disliked: lugging my heavy suitcase up 2 flights of stairs. (own falut for bring so much stuff)

Liked: The rooms were large and the showers were good. The property itself is perfect and it really is a castle :-)

Disliked: The fact that the hostel is closed to all between 10 am and 3 pm can be quite annoying.

Liked: It IS a castle - and a hostel. If that does not make you go there, what shall?:)

Disliked: The rooms are out of character, but the common areas are still beautifully kept.

Liked: it looks like an old castle best kitchen i have ever seen I went back there for an additional night

Liked: The building is beautiful. The rooms and kitchen are nice and clean.

Disliked: It is next to a busy road. And it is quite difficult to get to the walks by public transport. I would recommend it for people travelling by car, but not for people travellig by trains and buses.

Liked: It was absolutely beautiful

Disliked: except for the great castle the hostel was not that good. I thought it was too expensive.

Liked: Beautiful building with lovely views.

Disliked: Staff that were not friendly (a smile costs nothing), the hostel shuts between 10am and 3pm so you need to leave, it also locks its doors at 12 midnight so you must be home before then. There are no lights up the driveway if you are thinking about walking home later at night.

Liked: The surrounding is amazing and the hostel itself is a charming old castle. Rooms are nice and clean.

Disliked: It's not easy to get there if you have no car. The staff is not really friendly and food is kind of expensive.

Liked: It was a brilliant old historic building to stay in full of wonderment. The viw and grounds were good and the kitchen setup brilliant, big, plenty of wash soap

Disliked: The number of stairs to lug things up and down and the shower sprayed straight at you and came on cold and wet everything.

Liked: I liked the building as i had Australian friends with me who thought it was a castle!

Disliked: same sex dorms when there was 5 of us one being a boy who could of slept with us as thats what we wanted.

Liked: The property was really beautiful. Since it's kind of an old castle, the atmosphere about the house itself and the park that surrounds it is very special.

Disliked: The rooms were very basic, which was somwhat disappointing, since the rest of the property was so beautiful.

Liked: Location, it is a castle, looking over the loch. Absolutely beautiful. The staff were also really nice and helpful, and dinner was not expensive in the original grand dining room.

Disliked: The showers weren't amazing, but it was manageable.

Disliked: No internet without paying. If busy, not enough showers/toilets for everyone!

Disliked: gender separated dorms, expensive internet, expensive breakfast, expensive everything. lack of character, despite fantastic potential of building, extra charge for non members, dirty windows.

Disliked: w-lan facilities were really poor and some of the common rooms really seemed like provisorily furnished

Liked: Most amazing youth hostel I've ever seen. Quite a palace!

Disliked: Not very practical if you want to trail around loch lomond. A car or a bike is highly recommended. I took the bus but they're not that many...

Liked: The building is really beautiful 'cause it's an old castle.

Disliked: There are no towels provided (at least not without charge) There is nothing much around this property, so you definitely need a car to get around!

Liked: There is nothing more to say - you live in A CASTLE. What can be better?

Disliked: Even if all the building in general is gorgeous, with a view of the Loch Lomond, the rooms them self are very different - rather cheap looking and simple (though clean).
