Liked: The staff are really great and they go out of their way to help you. The kitchen is well stocked and there is space for socialising and a cosy coal fire in the lounge. The beds are comfy and warm. There are loads of detailed information boards with ideas for how you can spend your time on the island, they clearly like the island and want to make sure you get out there and experience it,. Overall, I got the feeling that this hostel is really trying to give you a good experience and I appreciate the effort they have put in.

Disliked: The room was a little bare, some shelves or even just coat hooks would have been handy.

Liked: Neatly Maintained though having common bathroom, Kitchen facility is awesome for economical picnicers, Receptionist was cooperative & guided us for new places.

Disliked: The entrance because it doesnot reflect the internal good contents, so please renovate

Liked: This Hostel was one of the best I have ever stayed in. The caravans were great value for money and everything was extremely comfortable and cosy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The kitchen facilities were great and the atmosphere was phenomenal. It was easy to mingle and speak to others and there was always someone to help you. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Liked: Warm and friendly staff who were very helpful. Cosy place to stay in a good location.

Disliked: Bedrooms and beds could be a little nicer.

Disliked: very basic beds - the twin room had extremely thin mattresses and squeaky bases!

Liked: As a smaller property, the biggest room they had was a room of 4 or 6. And the common area is cozy (with a fireplace!) and promotes conversation with fellow travelers. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and actually gave you a tour by showing you where everything is, not just telling you. It's right next to the castle, so if you get lost, just follow the signs for the castle! It's also close to the train and bus stations which made it very easy to get around on my own without a car.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Fantastic hostel! We stayed in a twin room so I don't know how the dorms are, but we loved it. The staff are really friendly and helpful, good breakfast for £2 and beautiful location.

Liked: the property was very homelike. the arrangement of the equipment was very lovely. we also liked the nice, big kitchen. coffe, tee and hot chocalte for free. they had a big breakfast offering and every morning you could buy fresh muffin. futhermore we loved the sight at kyle of lochalsh. is was the best hostel out of 5 hostels, we visited on our trip!!! special goodie: the possibility to loan wellies( 3 pound per day) and hair dryers.

Disliked: nothing worth telling.

Liked: A perfect guesthouse at the entrance to the island of Skye, from which it is perfectly accessible to the rest of the island. The room was clean and the views (at least from our room) were lovely. The staff was very helpful and nice to us, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Disliked: the only problem we found when showering, for either not working properly or the door was broken. anyway, was a minor problem given that everything else was fine.

Liked: Location was fantastic and staff were very helpful and friendly. View from our room was fabulous. Free parking on site was nice.

Disliked: Wireless access - was sketchy in the lounge and only available in the kitchen which was crowded. Should be wireless access from your room.

Liked: Wonderful staff, loads of attention to details (maps of the area on the walls of the kitchen, soap in the rooms, possibility to give your laundry at night and it's ready on the next morning !!, coats racks in the rooms and in the showers...). Wonderful location, just beside the bridge between Skye and the rest of Scotland. We had a seaview room !! Calm and good beds. Wifi in the lounge. Just nearby, nice restaurants to go out at night.

Disliked: We liked everything !! Nothing to write in this box...
