Liked: Skye is a beautiful Island and this hostel is the perfect place to stay on it! The staff are all incredibly helpful, the rooms are clean and beds comfy! Really great place and really great people!

Liked: the staff are super friendly, the rooms are full of character, postered with images of Skye, and information on the history of the area, transport info. The groove lounge was cool. The caravan was also nice, but could get a bit cold at night. I think if you have a limited time on the isle of Skye you should look for a place in Portree, but Kyleakin has a few surprises.

Liked: Great place to stay, clean and quiet in the magnificent Isle of Skye. If you're going to there there's the place to stay. If you're looking through the back window you'll see the mountains and if you're looking through the front window you'll see the see. Perfect location!

Liked: It's a very nice hostel, with a very nice facilities and friendly staff. It has everything that a traveller could need, full equiped kitchen and very clean rooms and toilets.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and fun to talk to. The Groove Lounge was so much fun to hang out in and a great place to socialize. The rooms were very clean and the showers were great! Beautiful atmosphere set right by the mountains. Such a great time!

Liked: everything is good except for the heater!! it´s not hot enough...we had to roll ourselves into the blanket all the time!!the lounge and the kitchen is superb!! the kitchen is huge and it has all the cooking utensils!! nice to cook in there!! the fire place in the lounge is a nice place to hang out, and the keep ourselves warm..very cozy and homely!! will definitely come back again!!

Liked: The staff was really nice. Only honest and interesting people with loads of good advices about what to visit!Music was also a good point with a good selection of CDs (loooved driving in Skye listening to The Delgados...so Scotish).Only things I see to be improved : the carpet in the rooms would need to be hoovered more often + the heating in the common areas; since it was a little too cold people tend to stay in the rooms or go to the pub instead of socialising in the hostel. However, we'll be back

Liked: Very nice place to stay, overall clean, staff was very kind and helpfull. Firm foam matresses! Best we've come across in Scotland so far! Located right at the Skye Bridge, so nearly westernmost end of Skye. A car is certainly helpfull if you want to go further onto the iIsland. We didn't look for Bus timetables but run across quite a few Stagecoaches. Place has a little shortage of Bathrooms/ Showers, though. Wasn't a problem at this time of year, as there were just a few people staying there but I could well imagine longer queues in the summer.

Liked: the staff made me feel extremely welcome as they were really friendly and as a female travelling on my own, i felt welcome and made some good friends within the staffing team. I also felt safe within the hostel and the rooms were comfy. A great place to stay. :)
