Liked: Location - right next to a very good real ale pub, the castle and all the amenities of the city centre.

Liked: The room was very clean and the beds were very comfy. The location was excellent, right next to the Inverness Castle. Toilets & shower rooms were clean. Peaceful location.

Disliked: There were some large 8-10 people group in the other 2 rooms in our wing that seemed to think the common toilets & showers as their private. It was very hard to get a chance to get to shower or toilet, because these people used ALL the toilets and showers at the same time and for like 5 hours at a time. They also yelled at us and kept knocking angrily on the door when we finally succeeded to get to toilet or shower. Geez... The staff wasn't very friendly. It's ok, but I think staff should be a little more concerned about the way they handle the keys ('just leave it there on the table near the exit door', the reception person said). Anyone can just take the key from the non-secured table near the exit...

Disliked: Staff not overly friendly. No breakfast. I've stayed at better hostels but it did the job.

Liked: Great location, clean, but a bit noisy due to proximity to a busy street

Disliked: The girl from Guatemala who received us was in a very bad mood and would always reply to me in English even tohough I was talking to her in fluent Spanish, but she would speak Spanish with her friends. Shw did not make an effort to be friendly.

Liked: Hardly saw anyone during our stay. Great value for a twin room overlooking the river, and with top pub The Castle only next door!

Liked: Very nice atmosphere. Just an idea - not everyone seems to know that traditional English-type doors need to be locked with a key... I had 3 different sets of roommates and every night when I got back to the room, the door was unlocked. Girls just always thought it's enough to close the door and it locks automatically. So if you could tell people when they check in, to lock the doors?
