People were really friendly, outgoing, and crazy hippies. The night staff was just fun, and after a really long train ride from hell, it was great to be welcomed by someone who, whilst not the most efficent (checking in took 45 mins with lots of confussion), was deffinitly a friendly face.

The staff was incredible helpful, hospitable and friendly! The hostel has a great outdoor eating area, a really nice nextdoor neighbor cat and a great view (very romantic). Just across the street from the lake, bus routs and literally across the street from the castle. Clean and relaxing!

It was next door to the castle tavern and Inverness castle. The atmosphere was very laid back and my friend and I spent our evenings there watching movies and having a beer with the other guests. I would absolutely stay there again.

Second floor has a private bath/shower room which is comfortable for someone older like myself. Since there is no room for comments, I will add here: I can't rate this hostel in comparison to others since I haven't stayed in one since the late '70's. This hostel was intimate and small, and much nicer than any other hostel I have stayed in. Convenient to the train station, it only took us 10 minutes [downhill] to get there in the morning.
Since the form is forcing me to answer all questions, please ignore the "Fun place to meet people and party" answer. I am almost 50 years old. I am not looking to meet people and party when traveling.

The best part of the hostel was its peaceful and friendly ambience. The host at the reception and the small group of people staying there were just perfect for a relaxing time. thanks for this lovely stay.
