Bazpackers Hostel

We pride ourselves on offering a clean, friendly service and believe people pay to actually sleep at a hostel not party all night.

Reception is open from 7.30 am until 11 pm - check in must be between these times.

Please note; anyone below 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult and be in private (not mixed) accommodation.

We do not have private parking but there is plenty of on street and pay + display parking nearby (Mitchells Lane and Castle Street). We will be happy to help you at reception. Please see our website for a map and streetview link.

Located in front of Inverness Castle, Bazpackers is an old Victorian town house built in 1826 and converted in 1996 to form a modern hostel. We are just 5 minutes from the city centre, very convenient but out of the city centre noise.
As well as full self catering facilities we have a wonderful lounge centered about the original stone fireplace and a walled Victorian garden with fantastic views out over the River Ness. As our feedback shows we are not a party hostel with loud music and a constant party running in the common room like other places - instead there is a great opportunity to actually talk to people and socialise and also sleep at night when you go to bed.
Thanks to feedback from HostelBookers we have now improved our security - all non private rooms have new secure lockers and staff are on the premises 24 hours a day in the case of emergency br>We offer great flexibility with mostly private quads, twins and double rooms but also offer six bedded dorms at a cheaper rate. We have a small female-only dorm for those female travelers who prefer this option.

We cannot accept group bookings over six people.
Please call us if you have other special booking requirements or if you would like to change any booking. Our reception is open from 0730 am until 1100 pm. Please be advised that we require photo ID from all guests (valid passport / drivers license / Id card).

Bazpackers Hostel has shared dorms consisting of:
- 6 bed mixed dorms
- 4 bed mixed dorms
- 4 bed female only dorm
Our private rooms consist of;
- Doubles, one big bed
- Twins, two single beds
- An apartment with modern kitchen, bathroom, large lounge and a 4 bed room with two bunks.

All rooms have clean linen and bed sheets provided and come with security lockers and central heating.

The hostel is centrally located at the top of Castle Street (we are 4 Culduthel road but this is an extension of Castle Street). We are behind the Castle Tavern, in front of Inverness Castle.

It is a five minute walk into the centre of town where all the tours, bus and train station and tourist office are located.
