Liked: The location was perfect, in the mountains. Many things to discover all around, by walking. Inside the lodge, it was comfortable, with an equipped kitchen, a big room to have lunch or dinner and a great living room.

Disliked: The electrical outlet weren't very easy to find and to use because of their place.

Liked: The site was beautiful, in the middle of the Highlands. An excellent start for walkings in the mountains.

Liked: Really you couldn't do better. Very reasonably priced. Lovely log fires. Comfortable. No internet or TV but you don't need it, better to have a good book to hand. Everything is clean and modern and maintained to a high standard. Darren is friendly and runs the ski school so you can have one bill for everything inc hire and lessons. Also very cheap! Delighted... I'll be back.

Liked: The Lodge is right next to the sky resort and Darren (who runs the Lodge) also "accidently" runs a sky school and sky hire (which you can try on the night of the arrival and take with you the next day - saves you queing at the sky resort - you can pay by card at the sky school the next day - handy!). We also booked a sky lesson through Darren the night before for our 7-year old and she loved it!TIP: You can drop your equipment off at the sky school once you are done with it - you don't have to come back to the Lodge to do that (although it is only 5 minutes drive from the ski resort). The location is wonderful, the facilities are more than adequate (we loved the underfloor heating and the open fire!) All in all a great place to stay and meet people (just feels like everyone is welcome there) and value for money. We also loved Darren's dogs - they were very friendly and hours of fun for the kids! LOLThoroughly recommend!

Liked: Amazing hostel, great location 10 minutes from the Glenshee ski slopes for both walkers and skiers in winter, wonderful lodge with two living rooms and log fires, very well-equipped kitchen and all spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend!
