Liked: Cheap and had a pretty good location.

Disliked: The floor was filthy including a molded bag of broccoli underneath my bed. You had to pay to purchase a lock for a locker which didn't actually work. My bed was stolen both nights I was there which is probably a result from poor communication from staff. The shower door didn't actually lock. There is a bright led sign across from the room I stayed in and there were no curtains/blinds which meant the room was always pretty bright. There were no readily accessible power points unless you wanted to leave your phone/laptop on the floor in the entrance to the bathroom.

Liked: The hostel is next to the central train station, but about 15 minutes from the bus station and queen street station. There is a Tesco within a block. The kitchen has refrigerator, stove and microwave, but it doesn't have cutlery/plates/bowls. The dining area is extended to the common/game area with TV, pool table, couches and is where people congregate. The dorm rooms are spacious and have enough toilets/showers en-suite. The room also has lockers, but you need a special lock (L2.50) to secure the locker.

Disliked: While the dorm rooms have lockers, you need to buy a special lock to secure them (L2.50). The kitchen doesn't have cutlery/plates/bowls for eating. The WiFi is available in the rooms and common areas, but is very sporadic. Sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't. You can pay for "premium" WiFi for better access.

Liked: Rreally close to the city centre and train station.

Disliked: The atmosphere was awful. Cheap bar downstairs full of people from the streetsm not even those who live in the hostel. You have to pay 2 pounts to rent the towel and leave 5 pounds as deposit. You pay 2.50 to leave the suitcase at reception. The air in rooms was very dusty and unclean.

Liked: It's cheap, and is in a great location.

Disliked: Don't expect a peaceful nights sleep, as other guests make quite a lot of noise, running in the corridors, slamming doors etc in the early hours of the morning.

Liked: Location - it was near the city centre.

Disliked: I paid £70 for an ensuite double room for one night. It wasn't worth it....The room had a musty smell and feeling quite stuffy. Opening the windows meant the loud noise from traffic. The bathroom had NO wash basin. This was located in the actual room. From a hygiene point of view, this is totally unacceptable. The wash basin needs to be in the bathroom. There was no kettle or complimentary tea / coffee in the room.I had no idea where the 'communal kitchen' was - couldn't find it on my floor. The desk was chipped on one side.Shower curtains were dirty - I didn't take a shower, worried I might catch something.Toilet seat kept moving.I found holes in the duvet sheet.Bit a strain on the neck having to look up to watch the wall mounted television. Why not just place it on the desk?Other guests were hanging around and talking loudly in the corridor during the night.I found the whole experience unpleasant. For £70, it certainly wasn't worth it.
