Bunkum is a small (36 bed) family run backpacker hostel offering extremely spacious and comfortable accommodation for travellers and backpackers in a 150 year old Victorian town-house in the vibrant West End of Glasgow.

The hostel is located in Hillhead Street in the West End of the city about 1 mile from the coach and rail stations.

By taxi the journey should cost £5 but it can be reached easily by bus from Buchanan Street Bus Station (along Great Western Road - look for The Belle bar on the left and get off at next stop - turn into Hillhead Street at the The Belle bar) or by Metro/Underground Railway (get off at Hillhead Station, exit right, take the first right into Great George Street and turn left at the top end into Hillhead Street).

Glasgow airport is 8 miles away (taxis from £18 - £20 depending on taxi driver and traffic congestion) and Prestwick airport is about 30 miles away (taxis around £50 - agree price with driver first). There are regular connecting coach and/or rail services to the city centre from both Glasgow International and Glasgow Prestwick airports. The train fare from Glasgow Prestwick is half price if you have a valid plane ticket!
