Liked: It is cheap. It is near to a tube station. Shops in the area are convenient. Decent triple room.

Disliked: Cleanliness can be improved. Wifi does not reach at the second (last) floor.

Liked: It's an old house full of character.

Disliked: Generally, it's a cheap place a bit far off centre, but that's clearly indicated. However, you need to leave a 5 pound deposit for the room key, and if you are staying on Sunday night, apparently the reception is closed on Mondays, and there is no way to get your deposit back. I've contacted the hostel about this, but seemingly no one is willing to answer emails. I've received one email explaining that a staff member did check us out and refunded our deposit, but since this never took place I suggested they review the security cameras. After this, I was never contacted again. It's a nice hostel, but this relatively small thing and their unwillingness to help ruined the experience. If you are planning to stay during low season, add the 5 pound charge to the room cost.

Liked: Good location and fast, free wifi. Very friendly staff.

Disliked: A bit rough around the edges. Lack of lockers is an issue, but the front desk was able to hold our valuables. The one unforgivable slight was that we had to forgo getting our key deposit returned during our AM checkout. We visited the front desk several times between 8 and 8:45 am, and no one was there to help us. Other hostel residents said that the staff is usually present during those hours. I felt the accommodation was quite shabby, and paying an extra $8 for the priviledge hurt. I'm quite upset we were unable to get our key deposit back.

Liked: I was moved to the sister hostel- Blue Sky. The location was good, within walking distance to the University and city centre.

Disliked: Staff initially put me in a room with broken heating and a window jarred open- in Winter. Eventually I was moved to another building (with a functional boiler). Guests should not have been put into a building with no heating when there is space elsewhere!

Liked: For what you pay you wouldn't expect much but you would be wrong! The rooms are pretty spacious, I had an ensuit so the bath rooms were good, the kitchen was great, the free wifi was Soo fast, tube station is less then a 5 minute walk then a 5 minute ride into the city center it was great! Over all my stay was great would defiantly recommend!!

Disliked: the bed was a very noisy but I expected that as it was a metal frame and didn't much bother me!

Liked: I liked the fact that it was well-located in the West End and that you had free access to Internet. Beds are pretty comfortable too.

Disliked: Breakfast is not good, the property is really not in good shape and in some bathroom, you feel like you are washing yourself in the 30's. The property is dirty and not often cleaned.

Liked: It was great.. and the best thing that I met a lot of nice people there.. so I have some new friends in Glasgow that I keep meeting even when we all don`t live in the hostel anymore.

Disliked: The fact that if you wanted to stay longer the only way was booking it through the internet another time.. you couldn`t just go to reception to do that..

Liked: Good place, helpful staff, atmosphere, probably everything was Ok

Disliked: Our rooms shower warm-cold regulator was broken, but there were a couple of other showers on each floor, which were free to use :)

Liked: price, but 5 pounds deposit for the key which can be returned to staff between 8:00 and midnight made it more expensive then we expected ( our bus was leaving at 7:30 from Glasgow)

Disliked: The thing with keys and dirty shower and toilets.

Liked: close to main road and buses. only 5 mins to city centre. free internet

Disliked: mattresses on beds are terrible. not the most glamorous, but good value for money for 1 night or 2.

Disliked: dirtyness too small kitchen and fridge living room really uncomfortable and too small with loud music

Liked: Its was cheap, you get what you pay for but awesome if you are on a budget. Breakfast is free and simple. You get a free towel with no deposit.Staff were great.

Disliked: The beds were a little springing and the shower downstairs was broken. No lockers in the room but wasnt a problem.

Liked: nothing

Disliked: It's not a standard room but an attic, which is very small. There are too large gaps in the middle of the floor and you can't avoid but fell and hurt your feet. And there's no apology.

Disliked: Were requesting assistance of staff to call taxi for drive to a wedding however hostel phone was not charged so couldn't call and forced to walk to in the rain as not peak time for taxis driving by :(

Liked: nice, friendly and very helpfull staff, clean rooms, great location, close to the subway..It's really nice place to stay!

Liked: Good location.

Disliked: It didn't seem clean, there was a stained fitted carpet, paint was off in some parts of the walls, and the lounge wasn't very comfortable. Also the atmosphere was a little bit tense.
