Liked: Great location in the nice West-end of the city. It's probably the cheapest you can get around there, and breakfast (cereal or toast) is included. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Disliked: The cheapness comes with a price: the hostel could do with some painting and the common room is functional, but not very appealing; a simple room with 2 "breakfast tables" in it.

Liked: there were only 4 beds in the room so it was really quiet, good for sleep, and bathroom available most of the time. plus a free towel and breakfast, and tea whenever you want. the room was very clean. and location is actually good - not far from city center and on the main west end road.

Disliked: water wasn't really hot. would be great if breakfast was available a bit earlier.

Liked: Lovely day staff, really friendly and helpful! Not so keen on the grumpy guy on evening duty. Pleasant, small-ish communal area with some tables and bench seats. Quite good for socialising. One computer with FREE internet, fast connection. Really relaxed atmosphere. Kitchen facilities if you want to cook, with a 'Free Food' shelf. FREE towel. Breakfast included! Basic but fair enough for the overall price - rice krispies, toast & jam, tea or instant coffee, all on a help-yourself basis. EXCELLENT location - 20min walk from the centre, in a quieter area that felt really safe. Lots of pretty architecture and interesting cafes nearby. The *AMAZING* Kelvingrove Museum is a 15min walk, through a lovely park. If I lived in Glasgow I'd want to live around here. I was really happy with this hostel and would definitely stay here again.

Disliked: Shower either cold or colder. It turned out one of the boilers had been turned off, but I get the impression this is a constant issue. No lock on the bathroom door which was a bit alarming because I was sharing a 4-bed dorm with 3 other people I didn't know. Luckily we usually were in the room at different times. There are no lockers but all the rooms are locked and staff can lock up valuables down at reception.

Liked: The staff were VERY FRIENDLY and helped anyway they could. The rooms were basic but had anything that we needed.

Disliked: The stairs to the top room :)

Liked: The rooms were nice, the bed was great. The kitchen was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The lounge was very small. The carpet in the room was stained.

Liked: J'ai vraiment aime rester a cet hostel ! Internet gratuit (Wifi et ordinateur), petit dej gratuit, douche bien chaude et ils donnent meme des serviettes gratuites, tout etait vraiment propre et le staff ont ete super gentil et m'ont beaucoup aide sur ou aller, les endroits sympas et pas cher. Je le recommande vivement !! I loved staying there! Free internet (wifi AND a computer), free breakfast, hot shower ( they even provide free towels) everything was very clean and the staff was amazingly helpful. I do recommend this place !!

Disliked: Nothing ! :)

Liked: They let us change our reservation last minute, beds were comfortable. West end is a fun area but it's far from the city center.

Disliked: No safes or lockers. Breakfast closed at 10am and only consisted of toast or dry cereal anyway. They claimed to have a computer for use but the computer was broken and looked like it has been for quite a while.

Liked: free computer with internet access(but not very reliable anyway). Free breakfast is a bonus. Cheap price.

Disliked: Not very clean. The kitchen is quite gross. But you can't complain that much with that price really.

Liked: the mix of people and the staff so I guess If the term 'luxury ' was removed from its blurb then I'd recommend the place for its friendliness and location

Liked: Nothing much, the building was old and in disrepair, and had far to many beds crammed into one room. The bathroom was dirty and the door didn't close properly.

Disliked: the fact that I had to share with 3 boys who were loud, drunk & inconsiderate. I woke up in the morning to find their bed pushed so close to mine I had to climb out the top to get out. The guy next to me was so close to me I could smell his alcoholic breath whilst trying to sleep. Pretended to be asleep as I was to scared to let them know I was awake. There were to many beds in one room. The bathroom was dirty and the door didn't close properly, so was to scared to use it with the boys in the room, the lock was hanging off the bathroom door.

Disliked: shower hose had hole in it so you had to unscrew whole shower head

Liked: Very close to the subway which is only 3 or 4 stops from the city center. I booked a 4 person room and I had it all to myself which was nice. Beds were clean and large enough. Feels very safe. In good area

Disliked: Shower head was broken and it spurt water everywhere. Internet is NOT throughout the entire building as advertised. You have to go downstairs in the lounge area to use it. Breakfast isn't very great, just cereal and bread but at least its something.

Liked: Location and area around are great! The price is okay.

Disliked: It isn't that clean and cosy. Furniture are old and some lamps did not work.

Liked: The location was quite good with lots around and the bus station a 5pound cab ride away. Very safe and secure, comfy beds.

Disliked: Alas, bed bugs. They handled the situation very well once we notified them however.

Disliked: Light was switched off at night in the morning, they switch it on at 8 in the morning, that's the only thing I dislike.

Liked: The location is excellent, sure it is out of the city centre but it's in the West End which is filled with pubs, restaurants and shops. The rooms were very clean.

Disliked: The staff while very nice were clueless. When we decided to stay another night, and asked if that were possible, none of the staff knew if there was availability. We were told to ask on the morning of checkout, when we did we were told to wait an hour because she had to call the manager to see if there was room. Now keep in mind we had stayed in a near empty hostel for two days. Seriously I think I only say three other people there. In the end we were able to stay another night in a different room but it was very strange that the staff could not book it for us.

Liked: Value. For the same price, we can only get 2 dorm beds in another hostel whereas, in this one, we got a double room. Bathroom was clean.Bedlinen was clean.1 big window and 1 small window.

Disliked: We stayed at room 9. Room was an odd shape. Double room consists of a bunk bed with the lower bunk being a double. Therefore, if u book a double room, you get a bunk bed. Shower curtain was very dirty (shower was clean). Only one lighting out of the 3 in the room was working. The other 2 don't have any lightbulb in them. Even the light in the bathroom was not working. The staff replaced the bulb.
