Liked: Staff are really friendly, breakfast is included and there's free wi-fi throughout the building! The front door remains locked at all times but you can come and go as you please once you have your key.

Disliked: Like any hostel, the building is a little run down and the hot water takes a little while to get going. Still miles better than a lot of places I've stayed, though.

Liked: It was very friendly and familiar. The staff was fantastic and also the other residents. The free breakfast was also great and the room was clean. I satisfied with everything. I enjoyed staying at the Westend Backpackers. If I'll go to Glasgow again, I'll be back for sure.

Disliked: I didn't have any big problems there. Everything was ok.

Disliked: The walls and the ceil of the rooms were broken, the bed was not comfortable because it did a lot of noise.

Liked: The hostel was amazingly situated in the West End, within walking distance of access to everything essential in Glasgow. If one is looking for pubs, there are several within one or two minutes of walking, while if someone is looking for sightseeing attractions, there are 4 major city sites within 10 minutes walk of the hostel. The staff was friendly and good humored, willing to help when they could at any hour. The rooms were very easy to access and fairly spacious for the prices paid.

Disliked: There was some damage to the ceiling and floor in the room I stayed, but these imperfections only added to the overall backpacking experience.

Liked: The hostel is well located, the room was small but nice... The staff was great!

Disliked: Internet should have a sign suggesting 10 to 15 mins per person (my very personal oppinion)

Liked: Bit out of the city centre (we obviously knew that before booking) but was very nice actually! Nice clubs in the area.

Disliked: Clubs and bars around were closed at 2!

Liked: The staff were extremely nice, always ready for a chat or some tips about Glasgow. The people staying there were ok as well; it was very interesting to get to know them and discuss experiences from various corners fo the world.

Disliked: Hmm...maybe a bit too far from the city centre? If West End is indee your cup of tea, you'll surely enjoy the area, but if you're more keen on shopping or sigthseeing, you're in for a bit of a walk.

Liked: The staff was really really helpful and nice. Also, having free internet and a computer that anyone could use was very nice.

Disliked: They only have two showers and three bathrooms, which is a little ridiculous when you have a Hostel for that many people. However, it somehow wasn't a problem for me...maybe because I kept waking up late.

Liked: Very convenient to the Kelvinbridge subway station; very clean, and had a very nice lounge with free internet.

Disliked: Only one computer meant sometimes you had to wait.

Liked: really good customer service where the receptionist gave excellent recommends on what to do and experience in Glasgow. It was a big room and a good location.

Disliked: it could have been cleaner, the kitchen did not look to go, but I can not ask for much more in a hostel, so it got an average.

Liked: It is a nice, clean and cheap place to stay for a few nights.

Disliked: The bathroom in our room was out of order. Only three common bathrooms but some of the sanitary facilities did not work either. Furthermore, the toilets, showers and sinks were not in separated rooms which caused queues in the morning. But it was still tolerable.

Disliked: The room smelled of mold. The bathrooms were grungy. It was an extreme let down for the price.
