About Glen Nevis Hostel

The Youth Hostel boasts a superb newly refurbished kitchen and lounge, making it the cosiest place to relax with friends or family. Glen Nevis Youth Hostel maintains a spacious and always toasty boot and drying room for wet weather gear. The hostel offers full catering for those who prefer to take the hassle out of getting a meal ready after a long day on the hills and also has a great selection of beers and wines. With spacious bathrooms, accommodation for groups, families and independent travellers from around the world, Glen Nevis Youth Hostel is never without a great atmosphere and you are sure to make a friend or two.

Accommodation Information

Here at Glen Nevis we have private rooms sleeping from two to five persons and shared accommodation in rooms ranging from seven to eleven persons per room.

All our rooms, private or shared have spectacular mountain views and our hostel is undoubtedly the most scenically sited in the Lochaber area.

We cater for individual travellers from around the world, families, friends and groups throughout the year.

During winter there is also a bus service which departs each morning from the hostel to the Nevis Range in Torlundy. Here you can try your hand at skiing and snowboarding against the spectacular backdrop of Aonach Mor.

We are a fully licensed hostel and have been welcoming generations of hill walkers and thrill seekers to Fort William and surrounds since 1934 therefore when you book with us you can rest assured that we are committed to making your stay a memorable one.

Location Information

Located approximately 3 miles from the Fort William bus and rail stations, our hostel is nestled mid way up Glen Nevis, arguably one of Scotland’s most beautiful Glens. Having featured in the Harry Potter film series, Braveheart, Rob Roy and even the Highlander movies, you really don’t need to just take our word on this.

With Britain’s highest mountain literally right on the door step you will be hard pressed to find a hostel as well located.
