Liked: It is located close by to the Royal Mile which is just up the road.

Disliked: Our room was facing the road at street level so you can actually hear people walking by outside. But the street is not busy.

Liked: Great location, pretty clean, nice bar. It was so close to everything-the castle, good restaurants, good shopping, easy to find, not far from the train or bus station.

Disliked: Kinda cramped, my combination lock didn't fit in the lockers in the room, the bathroom light went off every 5 seconds and that was annoying.

Liked: Absolutely Everything! i wish you had an Excellent in your rating choises!!! because i would have gone there instead of merely good.. was my first hostel experience, and was great!

Disliked: the wi-fi pricing ..and that it was slow..as well as intermittent. the building/business next door had free wi-fi..heck it is all over the place..and i did hear alot of the folk at the hostel say similar. staying connected is way too improtant..yet it was expensive..for subpar internet reception ,service. Other than that.. ACE all the way!

Disliked: bathrooms not very clean, noisy sounds while walking in the room, soup dispensers empty.

Liked: Pretty easy to find. The bar had an excellent menu of food and drinks for a very reasonable price. The rooms had a seperate shower and toilet in them. Rooms were quite spacious. Full length mirror in the room.

Disliked: Because the reception is 24hours, people can check at any time. Two girls arrived in my room at 1am and didn't get showered and settled until 2:30am. There isn't really alot of space in the shower to hang things. But overall, this is a good quality hostel for the rate.

Liked: great location. very modern and clean. 8 bed dorm had 2 showers and toilets. large bar and lounge area. very nice.

Disliked: nothing about the property itself. i would recommend this place to anyone but I was a little bit uncomfortable with my bed allocation. I was in an 8 bed mixed dorm with 7 other guys being the only girl, i felt slightly uncomfortable but it was a full house so i couldn't change dorms...

Liked: The location was perfect -- right in the middle of the city. Having the bathrooms and showers in the room was great and there were 2 in the 6 person room that I stayed in, so no one ever had to wait. With the bar attached it was easy to meet new people. Reception is what really made it an amazing stay though. They took care of everything for me, from booking tours, to fixing cards, to suggesting places to go.

Disliked: The bunkbeds were shaky and whenever I would go up to the top bunk I was afraid I was going to break it!

Liked: We were staying there as a couple and got a private room, and we were given a 4-bed ensuite dorm to stay in! Was great value for money, the location was right in the centre of town. Rooms have their own cupboard space as well!

Disliked: There were no security lockers in the rooms and the cleaners come in every day so take valuables with you!

Liked: Very clean and modern. Felt like staying in a hotel. Ensuite room, with several toilets and showers and toilets in the room. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice serve-yourself-breakfast at the bar.

Disliked: Had to pay for wi-fi.

Liked: It had everything one usually needs from a hostel. Location was great and it was cheap. Definitely commendable.

Disliked: It is sometimes quite noisy. A good night's sleep is not always on the table, making this hostel more suited to youths.

Liked: It was very good located near the historical and fun part of the city, also very near to the station. The food was great and cheap, the building was clean also the rooms and the bathrooms. And all the information they provides us was very usefull, I have an excellent time.

Disliked: The beds were a little bit unconfortable and they make very loud noises when the people try to move.

Liked: central location, clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff, warm rooms

Disliked: I found the 3 £ charge for secure luggage-keeping a bit expensive. Other hostels do it for free. Additionally, the breakfast costs 5£. There are hostels that offer a simple breakfast for free. But these are optional costs and the hostel was very cheap. So, generally, I found it 100% perfect!!

Disliked: Might because the location of our room, it is really noisy of the bar downstairs in the evening.
