Liked: proximity to things, clean and new

Disliked: they MUST lower the temperature inside its ridiculous. I could barely sleep for being so hot and everyone in our room said the same. the heating must have been set at at least 30 degrees, it was really very uncomfortable.

Liked: Location was fantastic, layout was great, rooms were clean and well looked after, all facilties you needed were on hand, breakfast great and staff helpful. Would definitely stay again and reccomend to anyone staying in Edinburgh.

Disliked: Very poor communication with staff. I sent several emails before my stay, none of which were answered.

Liked: Excellent location at the city center - airport buses and the Waverley rail road station are really nearby. The room was in my opinion clean enough, I guess. The bathroom was spacious.

Disliked: We had a private twin room: there was a bunk bed and it was so small that we couldn't really open both of our suitcases at the same time. The lamp of our bathroom didn't work at first. Room wasn't really cosy.

Liked: Location is excellent. Offers all facilities like pool, internet, excellent pub, big guest kitchen with all facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds

Liked: It was in the city center.

Disliked: When we open the door to the room smelled very bad. The furniture was broken. The shower was next to the toilet bowl and when we showered it was all wet. There was a door next to our room every time someone passed, it gave a strong bang, that also happened during the night. The breakfast was not very good and we had to pay separately.

Liked: EVERYTHING ABOVE OF COURSE, ONCE AGAIN PERFECT LOCATION, LOVELY INTERIOR WITH LOT OF ENERGY(POSITIVE), FINALY A PLACE WHERE WE CAN BRING OUR CHILDREN SOON,I HOPE!

Liked: great location, good facilities, pretty clean.

Disliked: It was a bit hotel-like and impersonal due to the large size but the staff were efficient and friendly.

Liked: key card entry to rooms, nice reception area.

Disliked: wi-fi service wasn't much. It would be better if when you book the options show if you are booking into a co-ed room. Because it didn't say that and when i arrived I felt uncomfortable being in that situation. The price was terribly high for a hostel but it was in the middle of the fringe festival so I suppose that is to be expected.

Disliked: noise. bar has open door for smoker all night long and even having room in 5th floor we heard all drunk youth screaming till 5 am.

Liked: Very central and convenient for the Fringe festival. Great bar/restaurant. Friendly staff.

Disliked: Room and corridor extremely hot! Noisy/cracking room floor. Mixed room.

Liked: Location is handy to Royal Mile and to venues

Disliked: Considering the relatively high cost of the accommodation (during the festival) the cost of the breakfast SHOULD be included. The £4.95 is far too high when you are already paying a high amount per night. The shower cubicle floor is poorly designed and keeps large puddle of water at door rather than drain it away
