 The place is in a great location. The directions they gave us were accurate and it was very easy to find. The accommodations were clean and the staff were nice and helpful.

The staff was very friendly and funny and there was free tea and coffee at the kitchen. But the best thing is the location - you can't be more central, however hard you try :-)

its location. went on a haggis tour and the hostel is situated directly opposite their office. its also situated close to the station and it is within walking distance from all the tourist attractions

It was right on the royal mile, and every sunday the staff does a big cook up and feeds everyone a huge meal for 2£

Good location, new mattresses, bathroom left a little to be desired & what's with the pointy spike at the end of the bunks? Little dangerous if you are inebriated! Apart from that would recommend.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the hostel was good. Superb location in central Edinburgh.

The best thing about the hostel that I enjoyed was the Sunday dinner that happens weekly. I just got a great sense of pride and loyalty when a lot of the old Brodies 93 members came back for the dinner. It reminded me of a great sense of family away from home.
