Hostival is the world only nomadic, festival hostel. We provide you with the best accommodation at the world's busiest and wildest festivals and sporting events. We are an events company and due to the quality and complexity of the events all bookings must be paid before arrival, you will receive an email from us with full payment instructions via email after your hostelbooker booking for full booking confirmation. Hostival accept all payments beforehand! This reason is only due to the high demand we get from our festivals and we need to take payment once you have made your booking. Cancellation: Hostival does not refund any booking but we can accept a friend in your place or you can even resell your accommodation which is never a struggle at these events.
Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 days before arrival (local time). Payments made to HostelBookers are non-refundable.

2013 will mark the flagship launch of Hostival at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Hostival is a one of a kind accommodation village where guests can relax after a day of festival activities and performances. It is affordable, fun and a great atmosphere. In addition we offer all the essential amenities required and for further comfort and added value we will have many stalls to cater for your extra needs. An entertainment area and bars to satisfy our guest thirst.
Essentially Hostival is a place where informal interchanging is the main agenda. We welcome travelers' and performers from all over the world who search for a unique cultural experience and a fun environment.
Hostival wants to provide the opportunity for people to come and enjoy this sensational festival and not have to pay exorbitant accommodation costs as is the case during festival time when accommodation is more often than not oversubscribed.
Hostival has been around for close to a decade and it is a fantastic party, so long as you know why to expect.

Our Carnival Camp is situated on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Located at the beautiful Royal Highland centre it is easily accessible by public transport with buses running every 10 minutes and taking 18 minutes to get into the centre.
Getting to Carnival Camp
Whether you're travelling by car, by bus, air or rail, the Royal Highland Centre is easily accessible.
We always advise taking a taxi when coming to a new town particularly when it is a town of foreign language. Ask your Taxi driver to take you to the following address.
From Edinburgh, Lothian Buses run regular services including the 48, 35 and the Airport Express (100). All buses run regularly and drop-off close to the Centre.
