Really nice kitchens and conservatory dining area. Kitchen was clean and very well equipped. Pretty quiet and peaceful for a hostel, and far enough away from town centre but not too far to walk.

It was in a nice area, and not too far out from the City. The Room was clean and beds were very comfy! Plenty of toilets and showers, as well as a large kitchen and backyard!

The layout - it has a nice "homey" feel about it. It's close to the bus.

Kitchen facilities were comprehensive and clean, as the bathrooms were also frequently checked for cleanliness. The lounge was restful and the use of internet facilities a bonus to us first-time hostel users. The bus stopped just around the corner and it wasn't far to walk to the city centre. Information pamphlets were numerous.

The thick carpets made the corridors extremely quiet! Great plus for this!

I found the hostel very comfortable and peaceful. The sitting room was very relaxing and the kitchen well equipped. Princess Street and the attractions were just a brief walk away across the meadows. This was an ideal hostel to stay in before participating in the Edinburgh Marathon.

Very clean (rooms and bathrooms), great kitchens and sitting area, not in the heart of Edinburugh but within 15mins walking distance. Independent grocers across the road and Sainsbury's within 5 mins walk.

Really friendly staff, homely feel about the place. Good kitchen. Guitars and keyboards to play, TV and videos in lounge. Would look after bags for us. Really nice, laid back people running it.

I really enjoyed all the facilities - TV room, access to the internet and outside sitting in the garden. This was the best hostel I have been to so far, and I have been to a few!

We had a double room, and it had a nice big window, really comfortable, and the bathroom is a proper bathroom, with a tub. That's pretty nice. Our double was in a house a few doors down from the house containing the reception area.
