Liked: It was far enough away from the center of town that it wasn't too loud outside at night, our room was clean and very comfortable, the house and people staying in it were very welcoming and polite, and the staff were accessible and helpful.

Disliked: The showers leave something to be desired, but we weren't expecting much better.

Liked: Excellent value for money, the place is kept clean, good wi fi access. Nice relaxed atmosphere

Disliked: Bigger lockers would have been nice and no breakfast, a little bit away from the action if you go you go out its a bit of a walk. But the pro's way out number the con's.

Liked: We were looking for a quiet hostel and thats exactly what we got - if you want a party this isn't the place for you! Its a 10 min walk through a stunning park to the centre of town, which was perfect! We arrived by car and left for the airport in a cab so I have no idea how far it is from the train/bus station but its about 15 pounds to the airport and 7 to the bus station in a cab if that helps. Heaps of places to eat and drink nearby, great cafe over the road and a couple of small shops for supplies. We felt very safe here, it's quite clean and our room (private double) was a decent size (for the UK) with a good bed and clean sheets - cant ask for much more than that! Kitchen / communal areas are awesome in both houses (hostel has two houses on the same street), bathrooms are great but be warned that if you stay in the double next to the bathroom you will be woken up by what sounds like a swarm of bees early in the morning - its the shower...

Disliked: Staff were a bit unfriendly, not mean or nasty, just not super friendly / helpful. and the noise of the shower... GREAT shower but very, very loud at 6.30am.

Liked: It didnt seem for me to be a hostel, I mean really nice place, clean , with all the services, great value for your money,and the fact that its not located in the centre of edinburgh like other hostels makes it even better, right in front of meadow park a 10 minutes walk to the royal mile.

Disliked: I dont have any complaints or dislikes about this hostel

Disliked: showering times in the upper levels: only between 10am and 10 pm... which i found strange and not comfortable since i left it at 9 am.

Liked: good location, own safe in the room, nice kitchen

Disliked: We had a room next to the bathroom and every time somone turned on the faucet it made a realy annoying sound... no chance to sleep in the morning... if they don't fix this problem, I wouldn't stay there again... but I guess other rooms are really ok... apart from that, nice hostel, good location, friedly staff...

Liked: Very homely and welcoming. Felt completely secure and safe. Great facilities, all kept very clean. Had a great stay!

Liked: Great location, very helpful staff- lovely space

Disliked: very quiet, hardly anyone spoke (that said, it was pretty nice to have a quiet couple days, but it was unusual for me)

Liked: The common areas like bathroom, kitchen and living room were clean and tidy as well as the room in itself. I practically didn't stay at the hostel, so I can't say much about how cool it is to meet people or the atmosphere.

Disliked: It's a bit far from city center, for those that don't like to walk. The room (private double) was small.

Liked: The atmosphere is cozy. And the location is good, near the meadow. The staff are very friendly.

Disliked: The bottom level of the bunker beds is so low that I bumped my head every single time when I got up. The shower tap seems a little bit stuck.

Disliked: Wasn't a great location for going out in, even walking up to the Royal Mile took 20-30 minutes. Thought for the price they could have at least included some bread for breakfast
