Liked: Nice amd cozy hostel, quiet, 10 mimutes from the city center and next to a big and beautiful grass esplanade

Liked: Nice and quiet, suitable for older guests as away from the drunken main streets. Local convenience stores nearby. Very clean and tidy and well looked after. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The location is good, about a 15-20 minute walk from the city centre. And there's a beautiful park nearby.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The hostel was very clean. Staff was helpful. Location was a few minutes walk from city centre, but it is a walk through the Meadows!

Disliked: If you want to shower after 11pm, you have to use only the ground floor showers. Very inconvenient, especially if you are staying at the second floor.

Liked: The environment is good. Near a nice meadow, but the traffic to the city center may be not very convenient.

Disliked: A little bit far from the town.

Liked: Not that far from the city centre, funny looking breakfast veranda

Disliked: Tiny rooms (but with TV), few bathrooms and thus jams in the morning

Liked: The rooms are a good size, however, they could look nicer. The room and toilets/showers were very clean but the kitchen not so much. It's15' walk to main attractions and you get what you pay for with the added bonus of friendly and helpful staff. Very comfy beds!

Disliked: Nothing in particular, very basic accommodation, and the kitchen could be cleaner.

Liked: Great location with easy access to the old town and all the major sights.

Disliked: Not really a great place to meet people-- it's in a house so the rooms seem quite separate from each other.

Liked: This hostel is better than my house! The shower was one of the best showers I've ever had. Seriously, I didn't want to leave.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Wifi had decent speed, staff was really helpful.

Disliked: Had no recognizable atmosphere or character, the rooms were tiny

Liked: I liked the garden and patio the best, especially for breakfast in the sunrise. WiFi is very strong and I could talk with my beloved once in the garden. There are two kitchens and they are well equipped and cosy with nice big table and windows to the garden.

Disliked: Toilets are together with the showers, so sometimes you have to queue. I stayed in 8 Mix Dorm and that was pretty small for all of us. And the beds were quite shaky :)

Liked: I liked the fact that it was suitable for more mature travellers, but was youthful and spirited in atmosphere.

Disliked: The check-in (2pm seems a bit late) and check-out times (10am is quite early) could have been more accommodating, but in general I was happy with this hostel.

Liked: Liked the friendly staff and the beautiful old houses where the rooms are in. Close to a park, very nice!

Disliked: The private double room we had, was too small for two people and two large bags, but clean and with a window to open. It was close to a bathroom.

Liked: the location is absolutly perfect, 5 min. to the city centre, 1 min. to a great park, supermarket, bank and a pub by side!

Disliked: no hot water, was fixed after 1 week

Liked: The best hostel i stayed in while in Scotland. Beds were comfy, curtains were dark so the sun didn't wake me up at ungodly-o-clock and the room wasn't cramped (stayed at 4 Argyle). I have actually been telling people about the shower on the 1st floor at 4 Argyle Place - best shower I have had since arriving on this side of the world (I have been in London 11 months)

Disliked: iA fraction too far from the action but a pretty minimal detraction really - great if you just want to sleep

Liked: It's comfortable and pleasant, with a good kitchen and lounge, friendly and pleasant atmosphere, and shops over the road where you can buy food. The free wifi is excellent. A great location near the Meadows and the city centre. I have stayed at several hostels in Edinburgh and this is the nicest - I would definitely choose it again.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Cosy home-style backpackers with great kitchen facilities and good location away from the main street but in easy reach of the city centre. Best hostel kitchen ive ever used, more like a normal house. Located near pubs, restaurants and convenience stores (food, wine, beer etc).

Disliked: Cant remember not liking anything.

Liked: We had a brilliant stay at Argyle Backpackers! A really good location close to the city centre, really friendly staff, and a great room which was really good value for money.

Disliked: Didn't actually dislike anything about our stay,we both thought it was really good, and enjoyed our stay.
